Stylish 2bed apartment underneath Edinburgh castle

Location was great

Sofa bed was uncomfortable

The location and the layout of the apartment was great. The added bonus of tea coffee biscuits and toiletries was great. About a 12 minute walk from the tram and within a 10/15 minute walk to the castle and Princes Street.

Just one small thing the windows on the outside in the living area could do with a clean apart from that the apartment was great and definitely recommend

Das Apartment befand sich in angenehmer Nähe zum Stadtzentrum. Die Betten boten hohen Schlafkomfort und die Küche war hervorragend ausgestattet – ideal für Selbstversorger.

Beim Öffnen der Wohnungstür entstand ein sehr lautes Geräusch, was besonders störend war – vor allem zu später Stunde. Auch die Tür zum Wohnbereich mit integrierter Küche quietschte deutlich. Einige Rollläden waren in schlechtem Zustand, und die Fenster wirkten, als wären sie schon längere Zeit nicht gereinigt worden. Besonders problematisch war das Fenster im kleinen Schlafzimmer, das sich nicht öffnen ließ – was das Lüften erheblich erschwerte. Wer einen ruhigen Schlaf sucht, sollte sich besser nach einer anderen Unterkunft umsehen, da es nachts sehr laut ist. Zudem wäre es hilfreich gewesen, klare Informationen zur Müllentsorgung zu erhalten. Ich wusste nicht, welcher Container zum Apartment gehörte und war gezwungen, den Müll in einem fremden Behälter zu entsorgen.

Outer staircase was smelly and looked rough. Also very expensive

Not clean - ensuite shower was covered in black mould, very noisy - (outside noise) bedroom windows let lots of noise in. Rubbish left in wardrobe drawers and what looked like a pill lying under bedside table. Second double bed was too small for 2 people and sofa bed very uncomfortable. No mattress protectors, duvets did not fit duvet covers and lack of pillows.

Beds were comfortable and clean, sofa was comfortable and good space in the living area

Location was further away than stated, general cleanliness was lacking, bedrooms felt small and drawers were not cleared of previous residents things/rubbish. Dishwasher was not emptied when we arrived and doors were squeaky. Blinds in the bedrooms were dirty and broken/bent. Flush in the ensuite was hanging off the wall and no hot water. The living room windows were extremely dirty and looked onto wasteland. The building itself was rundown with broken windows and a dirty stairwell. . The additional cleaning fee felt like it was a joke.
