38 on Westcliff

Lovely big house on a very central spot and close to the sea. A few things need attention but nothing that ruined our stay. We actually had a good time. Although it is self catering, I would suggest that the dustbin should at least have been fixed with a trash bag (one will do for a start!) on guests’ arrival. Not a lot of people travel with a bag to use on arrival.

Location is superb. House is generally good but needs some fine touches.

The bathrooms have no doors and the wet area does not work.

Lots of bedrooms and all were pretty decent

The bathroom was pretty basic and after a shower the floor remained wet the rest of the day. In general the house doesn't feel a labour of love, more a functional space. I think on the listing we saw aircon was ticked but in fact there wasn't any. Fortunately it wasn't a scorcher of a weekend :)

We were able to stay comfortably with several families and were happy to see the ocean.

There was no backlight on the stove so it was dark and inconvenient to cook.

Location was superb short walk into the town. We stay for the golf course which was amazing.

The house is spacious,neat and looks exactly like in the pictures. The neighborhood is very relaxing.

I always wished that there was a separate toilet so that I can have more privacy when doing number 2 .I found it awkward that there were no toilet doors separating the toilet and bedroom . There is ongoing maintenance but please prioritise the showers ,they were overflowing in one room and the other room only had cold water. The room with the balcony please also check the door locker ,we didn't report that it moved because we thought it was part of the renovation process.

Amazing location!

The house appears nice initially and has a secure automatic gate and alarm system.

The house is in shambles on the exterior. There is mould in almost every room. Host notified me of recent renovation on the day of check in (despite contact the day before check in). The house has not been appropriately aired to ensure chemical and paint fumes have sufficiently dissipated. Visible Mould is present on curtains in almost every room. When host was contacted about this, they insisted it was safe for habitation as curtains have been washed. Host declined refund based on this and we had to find last minute accommodation.
