SCP Mendocino Inn and Farm

Beautiful property with fun perks: feed chickens, pet llamas, garden, breakfast delivered to room in the morning. My kids love feeding the chickens. Room was clean and spacious!

Asked for a 7am checkout and was told our breakfast (minus eggs) would be delivered accordingly. At 7:15 nothing had arrived, there was no one at reception until 9 to expedite, and when we were finally able to speak to a kitchen staff, he said he had nothing communicated to him and didn’t even have the order form which I completed at reception.

We had such a wonderful time here. The Briar Rose room was spacious and comfortable. We loved the fireplace, balcony views and fresh breakfast brought to our room in the morning. Seeing the llamas and feeding the chickens were fun additions. The service was fantastic as well. Finally, we really enjoyed dinner and drinks at the restaurant, Terra. This was an easy 10/10 and we will absolutely stay there again.

This is absolutely not a $500 dollar a night property. Have stayed in many other Mendocino facilities for a lot less that have a lot better facilitation for guests.

This property was family friendly and a close walk to the beach and hikes. It has local amenities, like EO and Mighty Leaf, it had a beautiful in-room fireplace a lovely outdoor space with gardens and animals.

Ambitious in price but lacks in delivery. Firstly, the good stuff: - Hotel under the ambience of a farm is quite charming. Starting one’s day by feeding the chicken, walking around the veggie bed and checking llama pastures is definitely enticing. - Nice proximity to the beach. The short 10 minute trail was also nice with a cozy reveal through thick canopy of greenery at the end. - Close to the Mendocino town (under 7 minute drive) and Fort Bragg (under 25 minutes drive). - The Tesla charging stations were very convenient. Really helped me keep EV charging out of my route planning with my Rivian. - Service: The staff of the hotel were really nice. Be it setting up for late check-in or helping me with cutlery or information, they were very welcoming. One of the member also did a custom lavender bouquet in 5 minutes when she found out it was my wife’s birthday during our checkout. Now for the things I was underwhelmed: - Price: I paid over $500 per night. For that price I was extremely disappointed. - We got an accessible room that was loud and not suitable for me - Deeply underwhelming breakfast

Lovely hotel in an amazing location

Loved the room and grounds. Staff was fantastic. Very friendly and helpful. We loved having the complementary breakfast delivered to our room and then enjoying it in the garden at one of the outdoor tables near our room.
