Beach Dorms San Juan

I arrived and the place was closed. When I called the number provided, I was told that they were not open and that was that. I told them I had a reservation and the owner informed me I wouldn't be charged. Charged for what? Wasting my money on an Uber to a place that doesn't exist. Waste of time and money. Booking. Com, you need to lose this host. It was really uncool and makes me not want to book through you again

I got the whole place to self and everyone was beyond nice and accommodating. Terima kasih...

Nothing honestly

I had made a reservation at this hostel and also had a confirmation e-mail. We arrived in the morning. They told us the room wasn't ready yet, we could leave our luggage in the hostel and come back at 3pm. When we got back they told us that the hostel was overbooked and we had to leave. They we're incredibly unkind. She literally said "it's bast you just pack your things and leave." They accept bookings on Booking.com, Airbnb and Hostelworld and don't stop reservations when they are full. I later saw in the reviews more people were sent away because of this reason. I have honestly never experienced anything like this before. But the way they treated us when they made a mistake like is is the thing that really bothered me. Would never recommend anyone staying here!

It was closed down and it’s not there

It only exists on this listing. Not in real life. I did like that. Somebody answered when I called. But that’s confusing. Why would the answer when I called and then I showed up and it’s closed

I liked the front room sitting area, where people would meet and socialize. This area, however , had a perimeter layer of dried leaves from the tree above, which hugged the plastic and wicker chairs, and potentially were a fire hazard, considering the semi conscious cigarette and pot smoking happening there.

The potted plants were not cared for well, or in places that they could thrive better. The kitchen in the back had a constant cluttered counter, empty bottles, fridge on the floor that was not easily accessable. My bed was old, yellowed and creaky. It had no cover protector on it, The fitted sheet I was given- to put on the bed- was stained, wrinkled thin old feeling. I slept on my yoga mat to create more distance from my body and that old, buggy bed. Only a very small round bar stool type table was only place to put my bags, clothes, toiletries. No pillow, until I asked fot one. No pillow case. I had one, and gladly used it. A woman in the bigger kitchen , went out to the hall for a moment. She shrieked- returned saying she just had seen the biggest rat cruise down the main entrance hallway. No place to hang wet swim suits. Towels, or bedding sheets and pillow cases. The spiral staircase to the roof needs work on first step, it's rusted and loose.

I didn’t stay there , booking had an issue and was full when I got there , so was not possible for me to stay there. The staff was nice and follow up with me to help
