HA Hotel

Beautiful area! Feels like a movie. Rooms were clean and if there is am amenity needed (ironing board, extra key card) the front desk has no problem assisting with a smile. Surrounding area is lovely, peaceful, and lake is walkable. As an American tourist, the only caveat is pay attention to when restaurants are open/closed/serving partial menu. Because it's more a local vacation spot, there is not much to do outside of those typical hours. Taxi's are incredibly difficult (there's only 3 in the whole area) so plan to walk or use their little shuttle.

The staff and the facilities were wonderful. We were a little disappointed that although we had a lovely view of the lake, there really was no beach access. The view of the castle is great, and we highly recommend touring it. The food at the restaurant the first night was amazing. Apparently, different kitchen staff the second night, but the manager comped our meal, so no grudges there.

Be aware that taxi service is scarce, so if you don't drive, getting to and from the hotel or the castle will be a challenge. We walked from the train station to the hotel and the traffic on that winding road downto the hotel was a littlescary. We weren't hiking back up that hill with our luggage, so we paid 15 euro for a 5 minute ride with our bags and had to arrive at the train station 2.5 hours before our departure time because the taxi was only available at 9 AM.
