Hollywood Beach is great but this place needs upgrades.

Absolutely HORRIBLE hotel. Location was 20 feet from A1A and the room had a peeling lead paint ceiling, the baseboard was falling off the wall, the bedside table looked like it came from a rummage sale and the stove was dirty. I didn't even stay there. They would not refund my money after I sat in the room for a hour debating if I should leave or not which I did. Also they added on a $25.00 parking fee and a "resort fee" of $12.00 I asked is there a pool or chairs or anything and they said no. So what is the resort fee for? No answer Stay away

The Caroline is located on A1A, a main drag, in Hollywood so it's a relatively noisy location. Its positive is that it's 2 short blocks from the Broadwalk which is a huge selling point. When I arrived, I had a printed confirmation for a certain "pay at the counter" amount and they insisted the amount was more than what my paper said. We were able to check in early for an extra fee. We were first placed in a room which was very disappointing. We were willing to stay in the room but when evening came, we turned on the TV to find that we had just one TV channel - PBS. After complaining, nothing was done and they refused to change our room even though the room next door was vacant. By the end of the second day, they finally changed our room to the one they had refused before. The electronic code was the same for both. The second room was a big step up from the first. It was much larger with a nice layout. However, the floor was filthy. The TV had hundreds of channels but none were particularly interesting. I had no use for a "Rifleman" channel or 10 fireplace channels. There was not hint of ABC, CBS, NBC, Fox, etc. The remote control they provided was inadequate but I was able to use a remote control app on my phone. Wi-Fi worked most of the time but was often unreliable. In my opinion, the people in the office try to be responsive but their hands were tied by an off-site management structure. The Caroline is inadequately maintained and needs to be cleaned much better.

Everything Shower didn’t function, toilet lose on floor,no TV, noisy area,windows not sealed up.

Poor staffing & management. Super dirty. No towels provided in room. Broken furniture, heat/ac unit plugged into a long power strip creating a major fire hazard.

To begin with the room did not have any towels or wash cloths. I tried to call the front desk, but the room phone did not work. Then things started to go downhill from there, I couldn't get the Internet to connect, so I called on my cell phone, the front desk attendant came right over to get the Internet working. She took my laptop, without asking and started to make changes to my settings and was quite rude about the whole ordeal. When I asked what the password was, she reluctantly to ave it to me. As she was leaving, I asked about towels and wash cloths, she said she'd send a housekeeper right over. A couple of minutes later the housekeeper showed up with 2 towels. When asked about wash cloths, she said she'd have to get some out of the dryer, she left and returned a few minutes later with one wash cloth. Why would a person only bring one wash cloth when 2 people were staying in the room. I called back to the front desk asking for another wash cloth, the desk attendant said she'd have the housekeeper bring one right over, that never happened. The office is only open from 10am-6pm, so we never saw anyone after the last.call. So when we got ready for bed, we pulled back the sheets to find a large stain on the fitted sheet, not sure what that was, but was not impressed. That will be the last time I'll stay at that location, the place was filthy, garbage strewn in the yard and overall disappointing. How can a room be ready without any towels or wash cloths in the room? Overpric

The place is awful, if it wasn’t for my sister-in-law, we wouldn’t have had a room. The site supposedly closes at 6 pm, our flight was delayed hours and we didn’t get in until 11pm. The hotel pictured on hotels.com are super deceiving, pretty run down place, woke up to homeless man sleeping right outside our door. They lost multiple reservations of our family. Would not recommend to this place to anyone

Very peaceful and quiet which was good but cleanliness not so good. Used bar of soap in shower, no towels, window curtains very dirty with alot od dust completely full of dust.

The first room had no A/C and the front road facing window was a shear curtain. Had to be moved to another room. There were no working lights in the bathroom, the handles in the shower were not attached and the water was so hot you could not shower. Had to buy our own toilet paper because we asked 3 times and none was delivered to the room. We were afraid to sleep under the sheets due to the stains on them. This place is horrible. Would not recommend to anyone.
