Host & Stay - Sleepers @ No.8

Location directly opposite NYMR Pickering Station and just round the corner from the high street. Plenty of places to eat. Property was very comfortable and a good size for just two people with good facilities and exceptional value. Little or no traffic noise.

Parking is a bit of a problem as the property has no dedicated space with it. You can park free opposite during the hours of 6pm to 8am but are restricted to 1 hour during the day. Having said that we were advised that we could park for free without time limits on the roads around Pickering Castle (Castle Gate) which has a pedestrian alleyway running downhill from the Castle to Pickering Station (Brant Hill) . We also managed to park at the far end of Potter Hill. So in reality we were able to park to load and unload then move the car where parking was unrestricted. I did have qualms about what parking would be like but in practice it worked out quite well. Would it put me off using the property again? No.

Absolutely beautiful spotlessly clean convinient bakery & tearoom downstairs.. Staff very friendly & helpful... Would highly recommend superb.. Bed super comfy

The only issue we had was the stairs quite steep especially as we both have mobility issues...

The interior of the apartment is lovely, very spacious and nicely decorated, and it had most things we needed. We liked the claw foot bath and the bed was very comfortable. The location was great - opposite the train station and near the centre of town.

The outside patio needed some TLC. The only thing growing were weeds growing between the pavers. It could be a nice space as the bakery below has tea gardens just beyond the patio. There was a coffee machine but no coffee pods, and only two tea bags and coffee sachets were provided, which seemed a bit stingy. The layout was fine for us, but wouldn't suit someone with mobility issues as there's a flight of steps to get up to the apartment and steps up to the bedroom. There is also no long term parking nearby so you have to park near the castle, about a 5 minute walk away.

Lovely flat, right in the centre of Pickering above a Botham’s tea room & bakery. Nicely equipped and tastefully decorated and furnished. There is a flight of stairs to the flat and another to the bedroom, so wouldn’t be great for anyone with mobility issues. It is located right opposite the steam train station, there is limited day time parking there 8- 6pm only one hour and no return for two hours, but there is free parking at the castle not too far away.

Love the modern open feel. More than enough room for 2. The terrace is definitely a bonus if a little unloved. The bedroom was fab and a really comfortable bed.

There wasn't anything we didn't like but the trim around the bottom of the shower was a bit grimey.

The apartment was well laid out. Very comfy bed.

The overload of emails from the company, including after check out. The apartment is above a tea shop, so quite noisy from 9am. Parking is a 5 min walk away up a steep hill.
