Host & Stay - The Whitby Pearl

Clean and well equipped. All the usual provided, bed linen, towels, soap, cleaning equipment, tea, coffee and sugar. The bathroom is small but well equipped, with a powerful shower and plenty of hot water. Plenty of parking nearby with access to a large public car park at the rear of the house. At the front it is Disc parking for three hours maximum. Two day holiday parking pass for Disc area ‘W’ was provided for my three night stay.

There are great views of the sea from the master bedroom, as the flat is on the 3rd/4th floor. The one draw back is that there are six flight of stairs, so not for someone, not too nimble on their pins. The property is on West Cliff, so there are steps also down to the front.

Location is very good with easy parking which is free with supplied scratch cards. Fantastic view from rear bed room.

The key box was very fiddly. 50+ stairs to apartment. The coffee mugs on arrival were stained and had to be cleaned. Double bed in rear bedroom was very hard.( Our opinion).

Good location, and offered parking vouchers as it seems parking is an issue in the area.

The hosts offer absolutely minimal facilities really, no hand soap on the bathroom, the tiniest piece of jay cloth to wash up with, two drops of watered washing up liquid. It all felt rather mean and makes a short stay just more hassle. The bedding is cheap/low quality, which sapped any sense of a cosy stay, the duvet was very thin (a problem staying in the winter as no blankets were provided) and too small for the small double bed provided. The mattress was cheap and uncomfortable, could feel every spring. Overall just a bit more investment could make this a much much comfier place to stay.

Apartment was lovely , clean and well equipped . Freshly painted and furniture was lovely , great stay right near the beach

Heating kept going off and instructions to get the heating on we’re not correct , very cold and no heating at times . No blankets for the beds , quilt was thin so extra blankets or bed spread would have been good

The bathroom could do with decorating and the radiator was rusty.

Beautiful sea view and well located, in the town centre. Very well equipped for cooking.

The bed was not comfortable. Unfortunately there was no scratch card for free parking, despite being part of the deal. The host did not try to give us one the following day.

Great sized space, great facilities, modern feel with good facilities within the apartment The Christmas tree was a nice touch Close to the car park Perfect location , sea view from the bedroom! Fantastic value for money, would highly recommend and definitely return
