Host & Stay - Shipwrights Eskape

Great view over the harbour area, had everything we needed for the weekend. Lots of wildlife to watch out of the Juliette balcony.

Some information about checking out was confusing. We left at 10am according to Booking.com info and the Host & Stay info said 12pm. Didn't like the self closing doors. They banged if you let them go. Softer close would be better. Walls are a bit thin. You can hear people in the adjoining apartment.

The property was very clean and well furnished.

Hot water availibilty. Boost system not explained fully and hidden in airing cupboard. Hot water not on for arrival. This is not hot water on demand as stated. No instruction folder. Leaving time in online info stated 12.00 told 10.00 by text an hour before 10.00. Not good enough unprofessional.

The apartment was freezing on arrival -2 cent outside matched by a similar temperature inside. Has to put 3 duvets on the bed on the first night. NO HOT WATER even using over-ride for the first 12 hours so unable to take a hot bath not even a luke warm one. Once we got over the initial shock we really enjoyed the apartment. *** Would we stay here again during the winter months, certainly not unless the owners bit the bullet and pre heated the property both the rooms and the water***. Would we stay during the summer months without doubt. Just a little forethought would have made all the difference.

Good location within walking distance to the town. Pleasant outlook over the river and moorings towards town. Spacious, well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds and sitting area.

We managed with the cooker, heating and tv but would have like some instructions on how to use them correctly. They are very different from the appliances that we have at home and step by step instructions would help many guests.
