Salty Towers Oceanfront Cottages

We loved the privacy, the view of the Harbour from our room and the peacefulness of the property. Went Whale watching from the propertys private dock-a definite highlight. It was the perfect place to get away from the busy world.

It was a cute spacious seaside cottage ideal for 2-3 people. The owner was very helpful with a tire issue we had. An easy walk to the beautiful Whiffin Spit where we’ve seen orcas swim by and a resort nearby that has great restaurants and an excellent take out window for breakfast and lunch pastries.

Not a bad place overall. The names of the cabins are a bit misleading -eg Harbourview makes one think that the cabin sits near the beach, but it’s actually got only a partial view of the harbour. The main house blocks most of the view. Still, it’s a nice serene setting and it’s only a short walk to the pier. Older buildings that have received some modern updating, clean and functional.

Lovely, quiet area to stay. Close to shops and eateries.

It was obvious that no one was really interested in what was going on with the property. The outside umbrella was covered in mould . The inside look tired . Condiments left in the kitchen were way out of date. The owners charged top dollar for a property that was substandard. It was unfortunate as the property could have been really delightful.

The property and room was not aligned with marketing descriptions and expectations thereof. The room was not a suite as advertised but a single room. Small windows with zero views and limited daylight. It was in no way ‘ocean-front’. The so-called kitchenette was a stretch by any imagination. We needed to hang our clothes in the closet of which three quarters was for an old microwave and old fridge as part of the so-called kitchenette. in the morning before 6am tourists headed to whale watching noisily walked past our room. Fortunately there was a good park for walking nearby so we spent as much time as possible outdoors. Our experiences with this property were marginal.

We stayed a couple of nights and loved our stay! Definitely recommend to others looking for accommodations in Sooke ❤️

Peaceful great view of harbour and ocean. Whale watching tour at your door step. Hot tub was a great bonus!
