room 35 - bed is beyond bad, massive holes in mattress. Location 10/10. Location of Maverick suites was perfect. Bathroom 7/10 bathroom was good except the shower door didn’t close resulting in water on the floor. Bathmat was soaking wet for 4 days as towels are not replenished without a fee each time. 4 days of showers with a single towel is a bit much. But on the bright side our bathroom was within our unit. The folks next door had to cross the public hallway to get to their bathroom. Not ideal as they were coming back and forth from the shower and we were squeezing past them in order to leave via the same hallway. Would have been 9/10 if we had sufficient towels to clean up leaking shower. Wet towels made the room smell musty. A/C and cleanliness 10/10 Bed 0/10. I think it was a memory foam that should have been replaced years ago. There was a massive hole midway on one side making it hard to actually stay on the bed. I reported the problem. I received an immediate response saying thanks for letting them know. They obviously knew about it but have chosen not to replace it. There were no other available rooms at the time of our visit. If you are assigned room 35 ask if the mattress has been replaced since Sept of 2025. If not I suggest you immediately ask for a different room or a refund. If the bed was simply decent I would recommend this place but it’s beyond bad and wouldn’t stay here again and would warn others to avoid room 35.

"Great for a short stay"

The room overall was comfortable. Air conditioning worked well. The room had a refrigerator, microwave and a sink. The bathroom was okay, had the basic plumbing. The property owners made sure that I had the access codes prior to arrival. Most of the time, the room was quiet. There is a bus stop at Dartmouth and Appleton, with regular service. It's also not too far from Back Bay station, but the sidewalks are not exactly even. I enjoyed my time at the Maverick Suites. It served its purpose for a short two day stay.

Pictures upon booking showed a spacious room, bay window and bathroom. This was not the room that I was given. The room was very small. I couldn’t open the closet without hitting the hanging TV and had to maneuver around the bed to open the closet. No bay window. Dirty window with in window AC with dirty filer that needed to be changed. Bathroom was across the hall and required a code that is difficult to remember if you have to go to the bathroom at 3am. I contacted management, was told that there was a disclaimer that I should have read about the bathroom situation. Was told that no other properties are available and was sent the property handbook (What???). Will never stay with this company again.

Before even arriving, there was trouble. I completed the pre-check-in form expecting to receive the room number, check in details, door code ect. The day went by with no communication from the host. Upon my reaching out, the host asked for additional photos of myself even though I’d already done that on the form. After asking multiple times when we would get our code and room number, we finally received it an hour after we were supposed to check in. Upon arriving at the property, we were very angry to find that this code was incorrect. There was another couple who arrived at the same time as we did who had exactly the same issue. Because we were travellers with no US phone number, we needed to find someone on the street to call the host to resolve this issue. Thankfully, a stranger helped us out and let us borrow her phone. A new code was given to us and the other couple and 2 hours after check-in time, we were finally in our room. Only then did we discover that our room had no bathroom. Upon asking the host, we were told that it was across the communal hallway. Ok, fine, whatever. Problem was, this code was different again, so we needed to reach out for yet another time to be able to access the bathroom. At this point, 3 hours had gone by, full of frustration and we had only just received access to everything we’d paid for. A diabolically poor check-in experience. The actual room is ok. The air conditioner is loud and very much overdue for a clean. Otherwise it is just ok.

The hotel was fine. Small but good enough for two people. no lock on bathroom door. make sure to lock your door when you’re inside and when you leave, it does not lock automatically. LIFT MAIN DOOR HANDLE UP NOT DOWN TO GET IN. we were stuck outside for 30 minutes in 100 degree weather because the property manager failed to tell us that the door didn’t work properly. someone else coming from the hotel let us in and let us know about the door- the property manager never called me back to see if i got in. Definitely not good service especially for not having a front desk. do better.

I barely slept over my three night stay. The blinds did not keep out the sun, so the room was bright starting from 5am. The building is such that you can hear and feel the vibration from anyone walking around, and there was noise late into the night. The air conditionner worked but was really loud and made an irritating sound, turning on and off all night. Not great for business travel where I just needed a quiet place to sleep. On the plus side -- great location, seemed safe at night, the bathroom was nice, shower worked great, and the bedding was ok. Overall, the cost was too high (seemed like a renovated dorm room with cheap furniture). You definitely pay for the location.
