Meals were great with lots of options especially dinner,the photos of our room did not reflect the actual room itself,it was very small and required us to move the beds just to put our suitcase on the floor

Room (too small) and outdated,Olympic hotel projected something wonderful in the name,but unfortunately the room was the major letdown

Location was excellent and basically right across the slopes. Buffet was good (and there's 1-2 restaurants nearby in Ichinose if you want some other variety). The Japanese-style room (i stayed in one that had no private bathroom) was very spacious .

It's not a luxurious stay but it was very decent, super close to the slopes, and overall a nice option if your main focus is skiing. I had family members who came with but didn't ski and for them, it might be a little boring since they don't have much non-ski facilities going on. This is more of a suggestion for the hotel, but the area on 2/F, across from hotel lobby concierge is kind of underutilized. might be nice if they can transform that to allow for a nice reading/coffee area. or for people to play boardgames (overall, just kind of underutilized especially when there's one long table that they said no eating or drinking is allowed and i don't think i've ever seen people actually use that area)

Close to slopes for easy ski in and out

Traditional Japanese rooms were outdated and could be cleaner. We also were turned away for dinner because we “didn’t tell them we wanted to eat there during breakfast” even though we would have paid for it right there.

A nostalgic old hotel,not modern,with plenty of space in the rooms,fantastic meals included,and across the road from the ski field.

Great location for accessing Shiga Kogen Ski Resort, with easy access to both sides of the mountain range. Night skiing was an added bonus, and the access point was conveniently located right outside the locker room. The onsen was nice, though it does close from mid-morning to the afternoon. There is also a large lobby area that works well as a space to get some work done if needed.

While you are definitely paying a premium for the location, we didn’t feel it was worth the price. Parking is located some distance from the property, and you need to use the provided shuttle, which was inconvenient. The room was small. After experiencing a half-board sit-down breakfast and dinner package at another resort, we found the food here to be underwhelming. The buffet did not seem particularly fresh and felt more westernized than expected. Overall, we anticipated a higher level of quality given the price paid.

Big rooms, great location, friendly axoxmmodating staff, local feel, excellent choice and quality of bfast

Price (notwithstanding stay was in high season), some parts of hotel (lifts, corridors) a little tired and need a facelift/reno, coffee at bfast was only low point of the F&B
