Eternal Flame

Eternal Flame was fantastic. We loved our stay. The breakfast was the best I have ever had anywhere. The staff were fabulous hosts. Highly recommend this property.

Breakfast cooked each morning, comfy beds, great location, incredible staff and even did our laundry daily. One of our best stays in Japan

The walls are a little thin and with the communal style lodging Eternal Flame is best suited for people who go to bed early and wake up early. If you want to party best to stay at Echo Land. With that said we loved the communal living room to unwind and chat with other people

Everything was great

The staff at Eternal Flame really made the experience for us. They were so sweet and attentive to our every need. The place itself really feels like a snug family home. We were very comfortable, and it had everything we needed before and after a day on the slopes. The breakfast was delicious, and as a gluten-free guest, I didn't get sick and felt very well looked after. Our entire stay was lovely from start to finish.

We had an exceptional stay at External Flame Ski Lodge and truly could not have asked for better hospitality. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely taken care of. Nao-san was outstanding and went above and beyond for us — even kindly picking us up on arrival, which made everything seamless and stress-free. Breakfast each morning was excellent, with a wonderful variety of high-quality, delicious food. It quickly became something we genuinely looked forward to every day and set the perfect tone for skiing. The rooms were very cozy, spotless, and beautifully maintained — exactly what you want after a long day on the slopes. Everything felt warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully done, creating a relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. We highly recommend this lodge to anyone coming to ski. We would absolutely stay here again without hesitation.

We loved our stay! The owners are so kind and helpful! They have thought of everything to make your trip easier and more relaxing. The accommodations are super comfortable, clean, and warm. I highly recommend staying at Eternal Flame!

The breakfasts were phenomenal. Fabulous variety and so tasty. Hosts were brilliant and couldn’t do enough for us. The chalet was immaculate and accommodated a family of 4 comfortably with its own bathroom and lounge area plus a little deck. The onsen was so hot - great after a day of skiing!

The chalet had limited space for bags or for hanging wet ski gear to dry - really minor things.

The staff (kaori) were extremely friendly and helpful and went above and beyond to accommodate my every request. The bed was super comfortable I slept like a baby every night the pillow was so comfortable and so was the mattress and the duvet way so soft. The drying room was great and the coffee machine was a miracle worker. The place is also close to the iimori and 47 slopes and the accommodation provides ski pass for you to rent each day which save you from a big hassle.

The only slight inconvenience were the shared bathrooms and shower room, when there are many guests the waiting time for the bathroom can be quite long. Also it’s a little awkward to use the toilet while other guest are coming and going.

We had an absolutely amazing stay in one of the superior chalets. 2 adults and 2 kids and the kids loved having their own space up stairs - large lounge and own bathroom was a bonus. My son and I are gluten free (coeliac) and they made sure our breakfast in the morning was gluten free and amazing! The common area was great to relax in at night and have a drink with other travellers. The kids loved the chess board and we loved the massage chairs and onsen. Great location for restaurants and to get the bus in the morning for the ski mountains. The staff were amazing.
