Holman Riverfront Park Hotel Salem, Tapestry By Hilton

This is a beautiful hotel, nice rooms, nice restaurant and great little cafe. We spend a couple nights there during the last few games of the world series, however we were unable to watch this from the comfor of our hotel as they were having cable issues that unforutnately didnt get resolved during our stay. There were a few other issues that we had. Just wanted to say Jessica at the front desk was super empathetic and did what she could to help with the issues. I want to give a shout out to the manage as I let him know our issues, he apologized and is doing what he can to make it right. We will give them another try. The bed was super comfortable.

Parking a bit of a hassle.

1st the Parking - or the lack thereof and any advice from the doorman. My bad for not reading the description that this was a town center property and did not have onsite parking. When I asked the doorman I was told I could Valet for over $30/day or go find street parking and pay at the kiosk. Only after checking the internet on Salem parking was I able to find that there are public ramps where the parking is free. There is one of these ramps located one block away from the hotel. The doorman should have told me that straight out instead of making me think I had to drive around the streets searching for a street parking spot. I can only surmise that the doorman is also the Valet and he was hoping we would use that looking for a tip. 2nd is the elevator lighting. The elevators have very dim LED strip lights up on the ceiling. The elevator controls are low and unlit; you need to put on your reading glasses and use the phone flashlight to just to see the main floor button. 3rd is room amenities. The refrigerator door swung away from the wall instead into the wall, two seconds and a screwdriver can reverse the swing so it is more user friendly. There was a coffee maker but no roll of paper towels in the room to handle any spillage and no silverware. In the sink area there is not even one hook so that you can hang a hand towel. In the tub/toilet room there is one robe hook way over by the doorway, there is no place to hang a bath towel so you can reach it as you exit the tub, you have to get out and stand in front of the toilet to reach the only place you can hang a towel. My wife had to drag one of the chairs from the other room to have the towel withing reach. It shouldn't be that hard to simply have someone audit the room for convenience. These slight modifications would literally cost you nothing to do and it would make the room more comfortable.

Modern and comfortable. I like the fact the room was not carpeted. Liked restaurant.

Our room cleanliness was subpar. The bathroom and kitchenette areas were clean. The bedroom and sitting areas were not. See photos of dust and crumbs. Sofa was stained. There is a high price($32)for secure overnight parking. If you want to protect one’s property in this high crime area, you are forced to use the valet.

Location to theater was great . Nice free street parking . Staff went above and beyond , excellent service !

Very modern suite, two flat screen tv's back to back. One for bed one for living room. Very clean and modern look. But, looks can be deceiving.

I couldn't believe the computers and phones were down upon arrival so, check in was slow and making the keys to too long. To other room service, you must look at the menu on line, right down what you want, then can 0 and ask the front desk to connect you with the restaurant. So Archaic.

My stay here was in early October 2025. I booked a room with a kitchenette. I was in Room# 605. Overall, my room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. The walls were well insulated, keeping all outside noise out, which I greatly appreciated, being a light sleeper. These were the issues I encountered during my stay: 1. The bed must be above the laundry room. My bed would periodically, shake when their washers were on. 2. No light in the kitchette, just the microwave light over the range. 3. No clothing drawers to put your clothes in. 4. This room had two TV's. One TV in the bedroom area, and the other one in the living room. Unfortunately, the TV in the living room wouldn't turn on. I called the front desk and asked to have someone come ASAP to check out the TV issue. In about 10 minutes, a technician arrived at my room. His name was Quez. He was polite and professional. Quez, had mentioned to me, that this TV has been out of service for a long time. I thought this was something that I should of been made aware prior to my stay. Quez spent some time trying to get it to work, but no luck. He left and came back after a few minutes, with a new TV to replace the one not working. He hooked it up, and it still wasn't making a connection. He informed me that he did as much as he could. I was asked if I wanted to move to another room, but I declined. I had a very long travel day, and I was just too tired to gather all my belongings, I had already taken out, and arranged to my liking. Quez advised me to talk with the front desk, which I did, to ask if I could receive some compensation for this inconvenience, and the others. I was awarded 5,000 reward points to my Hilton account, which I appreciated. Overall, my stay at this hotel was quite nice. The staff was cordial and helpful, and the restaurant was top-notch. In spite of these minor inconveniences, I'll definitely be back here to stay, next time I'm in Salem, but not in room# 605.
