The Beach Boathouse, Carnoustie

Hi loved the views from the house and balcony and was only a 10 walk from shops was great wee break away.

Location and nautical decor. Balcony was good to relax and enjoy exceptional view of the coastline. Towels were good.

No welcome pack of local produce. The double beds were two singles joined so uncomfortable. Despite the good paintwork, bathroom was a bit shabby. The carpets could do with a clean or replaced. Cheap kitchen ware, bedding and furnishings.

The oven needs cleaned. We put the oven on to cook dinner and when we opened the oven door black acrid smoke came out of it and set off all the smoke alarms. Easily overlooked but really needs done. The constant cars going back and forth to the car park with dog walkers from 5am til late.

The view, after contacting the management company to get the windows cleaned. Location good for coastal walking .

Dishwasher was not working when we arrived and still not when we left a week later. Although agreeing to compensation the offer was limited to the same accommodation which was not desirable. Lounge seating was uncomfortable and hardly adequate for 8 people.

The house has an amazing location right on the coastline with a stunning view of the beach. The property is very well equipped and easy parking outside. Stunning views from the lounge window over the coastline. Great service from the rental agency who managed the property. Excellent all round.
