THE HIGHLANDER INN

Very disappointed with this place. The TV didnt work,we had to get someone to fix it. The toilet didn't flush properly and clogged in the am. The neighbors were fighting when we arrived. NOT THE STAY we had planned.

Convinced location

Budget motel, the dumpster out front overloaded is a sign of the state of this motel, it’s for people living there, not for tourists, trust me, price is right for a cheapskate like me though,

Awful

Room was not set up had no pillows, fridge lights and tv weren’t plugged in. The room was also very dirty, the walls had writing and moldy spots on the windows, and the bathroom had old razors on the window. Worst of all the toilet didn’t work and smelled horrible.

My room was non-smoking room. But when I entered the room, the room waa full of the smell of cigarette. And Toilet was not washed. I could not take a shower at the tub so the day after I checked-in, I packed my stuffs and came back very early in the morning. Wi-fi was very weak, so right after I connected, it waa diaconnected. So I could not use Wi-fi in the room.

This was for one night stay. The room was not ready at check-in time and my wife and I, had to wait a long time for the key to the room. When we finally got the key, we put our suitcase inside, locked the door and left. Because of this delay, we missed a show at Niagara Parks. Arriving back at the Highlander Inn, late night, we looked closely in the room and noticed the empty mini fridge was dirty inside, there were two bottles of water beside the coffee machine, no coffee,tea,sugar,etc. There was no soap in the bathroom, or any hand sanitizers. The bed sheets had stains under the covers. The main office was closed. We slept in the car and only used the bathroom when needed. We left the next morning and dropped the key off in the wooden lockbox outside the main office.
