Citadines Connect Georgetown Penang

Booked in a room with 2 beds 3 Months prior, opened the door to our room after waiting 15 minutes to check in with a pretty extensive check in procedure, there was only 1 double bed. I am sure the hotel staff wasn't blind and saw the booking i originally made and also saw myself and my mum in front of him yet booked us a double bed, very classy.. Had to wait 15 mins for the beds to be seperated but the beds are for kids. No fan in toilets, 1 roll of toilet paper per day, the only plus in the room is the large TV and the extensive channels. Checkout was equally as lengthy, waited 15 minutes, mainly for our rooms to be checked that they were not trashed, something only this hotel has done in the 20 counties i have visited. Obviously a trust issue but another inconvenience that guests shouldn't have to deal with in today's day and age.

Rooms poorly maintained

This a new modern hotel very clean great roof top pool. enjoyed the buffet breakfast it is in a great location easy to walk to George Town sites or Grabs are everywhere. It is kind of a self-serve hotel. Which we found to be very easy as they had a mini mart on site an ice cream shop and two restaurants all within the hotel complex.

Staff were rude and rooms very small. Breakfast was very boring.

The whole ambience and decor of the public areas and bedrooms are wonderfully appointed. My dad and I found the place relaxing. The staff (special mention to Maya) were very friendly and helpful. We loved the setting of the breakfast venue. It is sheltered but fresh air can still come in. Very quiet and close to main attractions and eating places.

Unfortunately, the plumbing was noisy. I can hear water flowing through the pipes when other guests flush the toilet or wash their hands. I'm not sure if anything could be done about that. Also, the toilet seat in one of the men's toilets (behind the main reception) is broken. The toilets should be cleaned more regularly.

A great hotel offering excellent value for money. Impeccably clean and modern, located in a very interesting area of Georgetown close to good bars and restaurants and to the Hin Bus Depot with interesting cultural life on weekends.

Everything was ok. Nevertheless, more umbrellas around the pool would be greatly appreciated
