Mestizo Antigua

The hotel is beautiful, quaint, and centrally located. The room was spacious and the bed was large and super comfortable; I had the best nights sleep! Kelyn made our stay exceptional, taking care of details even before our arrival. She booked a massage and dinner for us and made sure to cater to all our needs before and after our arrival. Additionally, we had an incredible culinary experience at Linaje Experience. Each course was a true journey through Guatemalan flavors – an explosion of taste, creativity, and local ingredients. The service was outstanding as well: the team took the time to explain every dish in detail, which made us appreciate each bite even more. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to discover Guatemalan cuisine in a unique and memorable way.

Delicious breakfast, very comfortable room, and helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again if I find myself in Antigua.

Breakfast doesn't start until 8am which is probably fine for many people on vacation but if you have early activities or meetings to attend, it could be inconvenient.

We stayed at this hotel in Antigua for two nights starting November 25th, and unfortunately the experience was far below acceptable standards. We checked into Room 5 after long travel with our family of four, including two young children, only to discover that the shower did not function properly. At around 8:30 pm, it became clear that the shower never produced hot water—it took over ten minutes just to become lukewarm—and the water pressure was no more than a weak drizzle, making it impossible to take a proper shower in the cold November weather. I even took photos and videos showing that while the sink faucet had normal pressure, the shower pressure was extremely poor, proving the issue was isolated to the shower. When I reported this to the front desk, I was told the hotel was “working on old pipes” and that things might improve the next morning. Despite this, the hotel refused to let us use another room to shower, even though the front desk clearly displayed a vacant sign when we checked in, indicating available rooms. This level of service is unacceptable. Being unable to shower after a long travel day caused significant discomfort, especially with young kids. What made the situation worse is that I also emailed the hotel afterward and never received any reply or acknowledgment, which shows a complete lack of customer care. I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. Guests deserve basic amenities and responsive service—neither of which we received here

Kelly was outstanding! She made sure I was happy with things every time she saw me. She made transportation, massage and dinner reservations for me. She went above and beyond to make sure I was satisfied with my stay. Kelly is a true asset to the hotel.
