Ironwoods on Blueberry Hill Whistler

Heads up. This room is presently been renovated but they won't tell you about it. I asked for a partial refund which the owner denied. And the renovation that have been completed are very poorly done.

It was a very good size with all the requirements of an apartment.

The exterior and parts of the interior were under redevelopment which we were aware of .

Spacious, clean. Liked the area. The flat would be lovely if it was not for the building work, but it is on the ground floor and always in the shade.

Building work was very disruptive. Noisy. Work was going on literally next to our flat. All windows and blinds had to be shut all the time, so apartment was dingy. Difficult to relax by pool with the noise. No use of balcony. Most flats seemed empty during the building work. No response when we raised our concerns.

The beds were amazing. The property was under renovations so it was discounted, but I was there for work, so I did not care really about the renos.

There was literally nothing for my teenage kids to do, as one has eczema and won’t go near a swimming pool. They tried to go play ping pong and there were no paddles or balls, there were no decent board games, or deck of cards, the cable tv was boring, there was no Netflix or any streaming service, they were bored stiff. It’s far enough from the village that lazy teens don’t wanna walk, and I was at work, so, I heard a lot of complaining.

Stayed here for 2 nights. On our booking through Expedia, there was no mention of building under renovation. We arrived to see all blue tarps covering the building and the front has no concierge or directions. We panicked a little but thank goodness someone picked up the phone when we called and directed us to the village, 5 min drive, to another lodge to register, then to drive back to the apartment. That was a bit inconvenient. Parts of the building inside also under renovation. So door trims and all missing. However, the good is that, appliances all worked. Water pressure is very strong and nice for the showers. Pool and hot tub has amazing views! And the interior (less the Reno) is very Japanese style with a great comfort to it. A double bunk bed added some highlights for our young kids. And being on the first floor it’s actually very surprisingly quiet! All in all we enjoyed our stay.

Size, comfort, facilities, underground secure parking. Great staff at reception centre, always helpful and quick to respond. Pool and hot tub, bar b q facilities, easy to access and well situated

It was great, the ongoing works were challenging but we knew to expect them and they did not impact too much

The oven doesn't work properly. It said there was a coffee pot, so we brought coffee, but it was actually a keurig, and they didn't provide any pods.

As advertised (undergoing major exterior renovation) well equipped and spacious. Really appreciated luggage rack trolleys in parkade. Made settling in and moving out more convenient.

For the most part everything was great. They just need to invest in more forks. They are down to 7 which made it challenging and they only had dessert size forks?
