Really helpful staff. My plans changed last minute and I needed to stay an extra couple of days with no notice. Chatted to the staff, they sorted me out with no fuss immediately.

The Pigeons are rather vocal in the mornings!

Das Frühstück hat zu wünschen übrig gelassen, da es nur Toast mit Butter und Marmelade und löslichem Kaffee bestand. Leider gab es in unserem Zimmer nur kaltes Wasser.

Super friendly staff with a free complimentary drink on arrival was a super nice introduction to the property.

Sadly our room was on the top floor and below expectations. Our shared shower was not working either. The noise from the street and the locals drinking in the property was also annoying as it went on very late. Having said all of the above, the rooms were clean but tired. The free breakfast was simple but adequate and if you were younger this place would be much more suited to a younger traveling crowd.

Wir hatten ein Zimmer mit Gemeindschaftsbad . Das Bad war total schön und anscheinend ganz neu , es wurde sehr sauber gehalten. Wir hatten ein sehr ruhiges Zimmer , obwohl das Hotel ja mitten in dem Stättchen liegt . Ein richtiges altes schottisches Gasthaus mit einer Bar unten drin , in der man auch Kleinigkeiten essen kann. Wenn man richtig essen will , muss man woanders hingehen . Das Frühstück war super , frisch und man konnte auch noch von einem Büffet sich was holen. Ich weis nicht ob es daran liegt , dass wir schon im Januar gebucht hatten , aber das Preis- Leistunge -Verhältnis hat hier wirklich unsere Erwartungen übertroffen

Staff could have been a bit more knowledgeable.

Booked and paid for an upgraded cooked breakfast each day. First day breakfast fair but slow to arrive. Second day was greeted in dining room, waited for breakfast, and waited….After 30 minutes I enquired if they had forgotten my breakfast and was told I hadn’t ordered one! I showed my receipt for two cooked breakfasts, and left for my 7 hour journey home. Will not be returning or recommending.

Breakfast, only one piece of brown bread available and the crust. Asked the staff (teenager) for more but he couldn't find any. Second morning, milk was off. Also shower broken, had to use another shared bathroom for shower facility one floor down!
