Great hotel and service

This is a brand new hotel. Rooms and amenities are top notch. Two blocks from MAX transit and Powell’s bookstore which is a Portland gem. I don’t swim, but i swam here very nice pool. Jay at the front desk was very helpful as well as every other person I interacted with. Thank you for the stay.

Cleanest and friendliest place to stay. Worth every dollar.

I stayed at the RC Portland and though the hotel is on the pricier side, especially in the Portland area, it can be justified. The location is extremely central and the room quality is very high and super comfortable, especially as it is using the newer Ritz Carlton design language. The facilities and in particular the pool and jacuzzi the 19th floor are really classy and the F&B options provided are good too. I would recommend this hotel to people looking for the best place to stay in Portland and would advise to book this through either Chase Edit, Amex Fine Hotel & Resorts, or a Marriott STARS agent to get the best value of their stay here.

I was so excited to visit a luxury hotel spa in Portland, so I tried out the Ritz for a pedicure after it opened. Overall, the spa was very nice but I left disappointed in the service and lack of thought that was given to essential amenities for guests. The spa itself is very gorgeous and has wonderful views of the city. I enjoyed the relaxation room. I brought my swimsuit to use the infinity pool but learned when I got there that it was unavailable to spa guests, which was disappointing. Other luxury hotel spas I’ve visited in other cities allow spa guests to use the pool. The pedicure was where the real letdown happened. It was all going well until the esthetician got to exfoliating/scrubbing my heels and I couldn’t help but ask “Are you using a nail file to buff my heels?” to which the answer was a nervous laugh of “yes, unfortunately we don’t have the right tools for this” and apologized. On top of that, the spa did not have any post-pedicure flip flops (again, another item that the cheapest of salons has). Because of this, I was asked to walk barefoot through the spa, which I then did since I didn’t have any other options. I was embarrassed to be doing this and can’t imagine that it was very sanitary either. After my experience, I shared my experience with some friends who suggested I write to the spa. I wrote an email to the spa manager, Melissa, but I never received any response. All in all, the spa presents a very nice environment to relax in the middle of the city. However, it certainly leaves aspects to be desired for a luxury hotel.

Booked a room with Club Lounge access but was told at the location that it wasn't included in my stay.

Absolutely enjoyed our stay at the Ritz! The rooms, the public areas, the spa, restaurant and bar were ALL top notice decor and cleanliness. Christmas decorations were simple and elegant. Bellpine food and drink and service from Kyle were exceptional. The pool has an amazing view. Highly recommend...
