Very clean and comfortable. Clean, clean, clean !!!!

We really enjoyed the uniqueness of this hotel. The staff & owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and the room was clean, modern and comfortable. I also found some really cute souvenirs from a local artist in the lobby.

The chilakiles were wonderful!

The breakfast alone is worth the stay. The blueberry muffins are amazing, and the breakfast is delicious. The room was very nice. We were in room six with the copper tub. A great soak after a rainy day of rafting. It was very quiet in the room. Work is continuing on the outside green space. It is sure to be amazing when that is complete. I highly recommend.

This property is more of a motel/B&B. It has seven rooms and each is decorated differently. When you first come in to a gravel parking lot, your first instinct is to leave and find another hotel. We decided to stay and give it a chance. The check-in office was closed so I called the number posted and they sent me a code to the room door, which is actually convenient. The room is small and tired but the beds were comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Bathroom is really small but had plenty of flufy towels. The gardens are overgrown and need work. Breakfast menu is limited to a couple of egg dishes, which were good, but it would be nice if they added pancakes or french toast, yogurt, fruit, juice and such that doesn’t require much prep. Coffee was really good and the blueberry muffins are delicious. The owners are very nice and it seems that they do everything themselves. They sell you this motel as an experience but I just don’t see it. It does have a lot of potential but they need to be innovative and make the property as a whole look pleasant, nice and tidy. It took me a while to write this review because I really liked the owners, but I myself rely a lot on the reviews to make a decision on where to stay in my travels. If you don’t give them a 5 star review, they want you to address your issues with them directly instead of posting it, which I did. But, after much thought, I decided to post this review because the reality is, that this is not a 5-star property and it’s really a disservice to future travelers to give the impression that it is.

Was highly rated. I found it disappointing. I expected a high end hotel. To start the parking lot is gravel. Hard to walk on. All the communication was by text. No one in the office to meet or greet. The grounds were NOT cultivated and weeds were everywhere. Opened the room door and it was UNIMPRESSIVE. The carpets were worn. The bathroom did not have anywhere to put your toiletries. NO electrical in the bath so you can't use a hairdryer. VERY few electric plugs in the room and most were not accessible. With these problems we decided to change hotels. Did have to pay for one night. That is sort of expected but would think the owners would take into consideration the room was unacceptable. No I won't be back.

Our first visit was September 2023 and the owners were so welcoming that we knew every year when we come to Taos NM to the Michael Hearne Big Barn Dance this was going to be our Motel Then we had the homemade blueberry muffins and we new it was our spot.

Just a quick overnighter after a concert. Super nice place. GREAT location if you're seeing a show at the Mesa Brewing Company. And they're not kidding about the blueberry muffins! 😋
