The staff and the view

BEThe location is everything. Well placed close to the city center of Gombe. The deluxe room view to the Congo river is so great! The room was nice and clean. Water- electricity- wifi all worked out well
The breakfast was miserable. What an unpleasant experience. Supposed to be served between 7 and 10.00. We arrived at 9.30. No buffet. Dirty tables. Slow service. 1hr later we still only had a cup of coffee, some bread and sardines!!!!! Had to ask for every thing. Sugar. Jam. Butter. Eggs. Name it. We left furious at 11.00 and asked for a breakfast refund to go somewhere else. My suggestion: book without breakfast and go out to enjoy something else. For the 15usd of the breakfast you can go to Paul or Kaiser and enjoy better service and choice

CHStaff is great, as is the hotel room and the restaurant. Kinshasa isn't for everyone. Try to arrive at a non-rush hour time, if you can. Need taxis to get around. What's great is that many rooms have a view of the Congo River.
The downsides were Kinshasa and the political situation. No fault of the hotel.
