"It was perfect - a calm, relaxing haven in a quiet but central area of the city"

Drexel House was very welcoming and its location in Karen is great - an oasis of calm in a busy city. As soon as you enter the gates, the noise of the city seems far away, and you feel relaxed and peaceful. The gardens are wonderful and we enjoyed sitting outside for breakfast. The breakfast options were great, and the team was very helpful in preparing snacks for us when we arrived late at night. Jeremy is super helpful, proactive and friendly, and made our stay very comfortable. We left a personal item behind in our room, and he was very solicitous in helping us retrieve it. We will definitely come back when we are next in Nairobi.

"Wonderful staff in a country lodge feel with great value."

The Drexel House is located in a very quiet area surrounded by trees and birds, with a nice lawn and clean main lodge with surrounding cabins. Very comfortable with a pool! Jeremy and his team of staff were the highlight - making us feel very welcome and attending to all our requests. Good value too.

Nothing much- the short road in from the main is rough, worth noting.

Warm welcome, stunning gardens, good food, helpful staff and Dan, the proprietor, very approachable. Rooms roomy and comfortable. I wd have no hesitation booking again.

No hot water available from sink tap. (Plenty hot water from shower) No facilities for tea/coffee in room but 24hour staff available for room service

The high security 🤣 The gate is always locked, but for most people, I know they prefer this.

"Great place to stay and relax"

The place was very quiet. The staff were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. The meals were plentiful and cooked as ordered and reasonably priced.

My only complaints were the bed was too firm for me and I was too short to adjust the hot water easily.
