The Grayhaven Motel

This was my first time staying here and we will definitely try stay here again as we visit Ithaca. The place held on to its roots, but the owners have updated the rooms and they are very comfortable and clean. I loved the little touches that were sprinkled all throughout the stay...the birdfeeders, the smores kits, fire pit starter kit, the morning on the go breakfast offering....

My stay at the hotel was really cozy, it was more than I expected. The room offers everything you need, the decoration is very nice. You have quick access to Ithaca and at the same time to many natural places. Also the hospitality of the owners was very friendly.

This Retro-modern Motel is the gem of Ithaca! This will be the only place we stay on trips back home. Super clean, dog friendly, spacious rooms, great decor, environmental conscious which is a breath of fresh air, and an awesome set up for s’mores at the fire pit just waiting for you in the room. Great customer service. Only thing I wish I had was a small coffee pot in room, even though they have it in office. Thank you Gray Haven from NC!!!!!

The room was charming and comfortable. The bed and linens were extra nice. Beautiful grounds with flowers and a hammock!! We played Elvis records on the turntable and tried to light a fire in the pit so we could enjoy the provided s’mores making kit. I would so stay here again. Delicious granola, yogurt and juice and incredible main house.

No question … great stay. Room was very clean, comfortable and we loved the retro style. The grounds are well cared for … they have fire pits, trails and great little spots to find some quiet. The owners are friendly, accommodating and clearly invested in their property and your stay. We’ll be back!

Great motel with a lot of little extras. Upon our arrival we were greeted with a friendly check -in. Our room had a working record player with vintage records and a smores kit complete with fire starters and marshmallow sticks. There was a fire pit right outside nestled in a beautiful gardens patio. Everything was very clean and the pillows on the bed were super comfy.

An innovative and unique experience to stay in an old school roadside motel where the charm of the retro and historical nature still exists with a modern touch. I love the idea of revitalizing a local property and name that has been around for decades. The owners and employees take pride in this and it shows in their food and drink offerings which come from local producers, and their room decor choices which are listed in their in-room information guide. Everywhere I turned there was something to discover, even bird guides to identify the birds in the feeders hung right outside the room window. There’s lots to do on the property for everyone (bocce, campfires, barbecues, playground, dog run) and tons around the property. Easy access to beautiful state parks (four within a 5-30 minute drive), restaurants (5-10 minutes to central Ithaca), and more. Highly recommended and would definitely return. Wish there were more places like this!

The location was central to multiple state parks. The breakfast options were minimal. The staff was very friendly and helpful. They are doing a great job updating all the rooms. The motel is on a busy street so if traffic noise bothers you i would not recommend. All in all it was a nice place.
