Beautiful location, and welcoming owners. It was a trip down memory lane staying in the old 1929 train carriage. So much great metal art works through the gardens". Everywhere we looked we found something interesting to look at. Highly recommend getaway!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A Perfect Stay for Motorcyclists — Pure Train Lover's Magic! From the moment we rolled up off the Mount Glorious Road (OMG what a Ride!) we knew this place was something special. The accommodation is a beautifully preserved slice of the history — full of character, charm, and that rare feeling of stepping into another era without sacrificing comfort. Parking the bikes felt effortless and safe, with plenty of space and easy access. After a long ride, that alone was a gift. But then we stepped inside… and wow. Ornate ceilings, vintage touches, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere that made us feel instantly at home. It’s the kind of place where you can almost hear the echoes of history in the walls, yet everything is spotless, thoughtfully arranged, and wonderfully cosy. Our hosts went above and beyond — friendly, attentive, and genuinely excited to share the story of the property. They made sure we had everything we needed, from secure spots for the bikes to local tips for scenic rides and great food. Evenings were a dream. Relaxing in such a unique space after a day on the road felt like the perfect blend of adventure and comfort. Morning coffee in the quiet, nostalgic setting was the cherry on top. If you’re travelling on the bike up this way it's a perfect base to do the loop over and over again, this place is a gem. If you love historic charm, it’s a treasure. And if you want both — book it immediately. We’ll be talking about this stay for a long time.

We totally enjoyed the character of the Carriage. It had everything we needed for a comfortable 3 night stay, lovely hosts and beautiful surroundings.Love to stay again. Graham.

We stayed on a weekend and the only minor setback was noise from motor bikes.

We love the rustic nature and quirky fittings etc. the privacy, although close to the main house, is brilliantly done through gardens and placement of your own private veranda. All all that is needed for a quiet relaxed ’do nothing’ getaway. Walk to a great coffee shop too!

A unique, quirky property in a lovely location.

Location is beautiful. So close to Brisbane but far enough away. We were greeted by Glenn who told us a history of the carriage which we loved and showed us around. Carriage was so beautiful. So comfortable but so authentic. We loved sitting on the verandah and chatting to the visiting chickens. Had the most comfortable sleep that night. Was a lovely walk in the forest beside where saw lots of gorgeous wallabies.

Lovely, quiet location with view of the pond from the verandah. Welcoming and friendly hosts. Close to many walks and hikes.
