Darsena Apartments by Wonderful Italy

Although the place is very central (close to all amenities), the apartment does not have a lift. For us a family of 5 with small kids that was not so good. Also the condition of the terrace is not acceptable.

Unstable electricity and lack of cutlery and other kitchen supplies

Excellent location

The large apartment provided comfortable space for our party of 3 adults. Location was practical for exploring both Ortigia and Syracuse. Lovely and quiet in the evenings and night. Ricardo who initially met us with keys gave us great advice on where to eat and places to visit.

We had to source a few utensils that we expected to have, but this was a minor issue for us and would not deter us from booking this apartment, or using Wonderful Italy in future.

They were very professional and available. We forgot our keys inside and they were very nice to give us another set.

Not enough hot water for 5 people. It was a nice apartment although it didnt quite march the pictures.

Great, large space. Excellent location right by the bridge. Easy 5 - 10 min walk to main square/Duomo / restaurants - all of Ortigia and to Siracusa. Supermarket and markets close by. Has a washing machine Friendly staff.

Front door of the building did not lock. The little patio was surrounded by rusting, old, noisy air conditioner units. Was not pleasant and we did not use it at all. A bit tired, needs a renovation.

Nice painted ceiling.

No hot water on arrival. Messaged host but was after cut off time for office so no hot water for 24hrs, bar across the road had a band playing til midnight the first night. Kettle tripped circuit breaker anytime you used it but doesn’t matter because there was no complimentary tea/coffee. In fairness the hot water was sorted the following late afternoon but we already ended up booking other accomodation before using it. No word from hosts after we explained why we were leaving and no attempt at all on their part to offer recompense for the inconvenience.

Great setting and location; appt with 1 bed and painted ceiling was fab; other with 2 beds not so special; all beds comfortable memory foam; company were communicative and moved us to another property when we asked; we liked large bare room with just a bed and place for clothes

Whole building being renovated: noisy and dusty - we should have been told in advance. Restaurants around can be noisy in eve (bands/music); restaurant smells in entrance hall but not in flats; sparsely equipped tho we weren’t trying to cook.
