Host & Stay - Sea Haven

Good location but difficult parking as .my husband us disabled.

Downstairs furniture not very comfortable.

Wunderbare Lage, fast direkt am Hafenstrand, allerdings keine Möglichkeit am Haus zu parken, dadurch war das Ausladen und Einladen etwas stressig. Parkplätze in der Nähe sehr teuer, aber dadurch auch kaum Autoverkehr ums Haus. Die Aussicht vom obersten Stock, besonders vom Badezimmer aus, war sehr schön. Der Ort Staithes ist wunderschön, eine tolle Erfahrung mitten in diesem historischen Ort zu wohnen, auch wenn es nur ein paar Tage waren!

Wir ziehen Metalltöpfe den beschichteten vor, denn die letzteren sind schnell verkratzt. Es waren zu wenig Gabeln da, gerade mal vier Stück, wir haben dann ein paar in Whitby dazugekauft. Aber isgesamt war die Kücheneinrichtung gut.

Lovely quaint property , nice location

Fabulous property. Great for 2 couples. Perfect location in Staithes. Close to the beach, pub and to generally wander. The cottage is bright and airy and well equipped ( you just need salt,pepper etc if you intend cooking) although little shop nearby where you can purchase if required. Overall excellent and wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Outdoor area and back door at covered in seagull poop. Could do with jet washing. Although you only need to use this door to take rubbish out. It could be made into a nicer space tho.

Location was amazing, the sea harbour/beach was on our doorstep. Weather was sunny and dry which was a bonus. Our cottage was very clean and tidy, lovely modern kitchen and two big bedrooms with on suite facilities. Local pub beside us, very quiet could not hear any noise at all, locals were very friendly. Quaint Staithes museum on hand which was very interesting, bought some local crafts which were priced very reasonable. Plenty of places to visit nearby, great walks for our dog, also the beaches were clean and litter free. Lovely place to stay.

Not a lot I did not like, very minor things, couches in the cottage were uncomfortable, way too small, also wardrobe in top bedroom could not open, no handles on it. Living room blind would not close properly (think at some point a dog has chewed on them previously) Parking was at the top of the hill which was a bit of a hike every day.

There was no hot water in the property. We lost most of the 2nd day of our 3 night stay trying to convince the host to send a maintenance technician to resolve it.

The location is beautiful and the property is spacious for families.

It needs some TLC. The home wasn't as clean as we would have liked. The walls are all marked, rugs dirty and missing handles on wardrobes and cupboards. We found dirty plates and pans also. It would have been much nicer if it would be better presented by the owners.

Perfect location. Beautifully decorated and comfortable. Great views. We felt very safe and secure here. The place was well equipped. We really did enjoy our stay here and would definitely stay again despite the few snags mentioned below.

There were a few snags that need sorting. E.g. windows need a clean. Outside backdoor there is bird poo which is INCHES thick and at face height if you go out there (and splashed on back door window). So we didn’t want to go out there as looked a health hazard. Lots of the handles on bedroom furniture broken making it difficult and impossible in some circumstances to open drawers/wardrobes. One of the bathroom sinks doesn’t drain properly.
