Mybanlao Hotel

The hotel is beautiful with modern conveniences. The staff was very warm and friendly. The building is near the outskirts of Luang Prabang but the hotel has a complimentary taxi service to take clients to the night market and other destinations within the city. The breakfast is quite good. There is a restaurant with a diverse menu as well as a cafe serving drinks and pastries. I would not hesitate to stay there again if I return to the city.

This beautiful property is located in former USAID building not far from city center. Beside the beauty of the property I would like to underline the great professionality of the staff really at the top. Rooms were beautiful and big, wonderful breakfast, quick teddy car to city center made our experience really unique. This is one of the best hotel where I have stayed in recent year.

A gorgeous place to spoil yourself. And the hotel has an interesting history behind it. Bistro looks elegant with old world charm feel and has a fantastic menu. Staff are attentive, friendly and very helpful.

It is very cute place, right near river and night market (also have shutlle but can also walk) everyone is giving the best service there, the pool and garden are beutifull

Great spa facilities staff were excellent especially Mouk on reception. The free shuttle service around the town was great.

MyBanLao Hotel is a home away from home. It’s always been our choice of hotel when we visit Luang Prabang. It’s modern yet quaint. The rooms are equipped with new technology but the building exudes an old soul vibe. The hotel staff is polite, helpful and efficient. They are only a WhatsApp text away when you need them. The gym is well-equipped and the pool is alluring. Hanging around the pool bar in the evenings just melts ones’ troubles away. Overall, our stay in MyBanLao was a truly wonderful experience and I would choose this hotel again.

I can’t say enough good things about My Ban Lao Hotel—it was truly one of the highlights of my trip to Luang Prabang! From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with warm smiles and a refreshing welcome drink, which immediately set the tone for a relaxing stay. The hotel itself has such a charming, traditional Lao design with modern comforts. My room was spacious, spotless, and had a lovely balcony overlooking the magical pool. Waking up to the sound of birds and enjoying my morning coffee in such a serene setting was pure bliss. Breakfast was another treat—fresh tropical fruits, delicious pastries, and some of the best Lao coffee I’ve ever had. The staff were incredibly attentive and always eager to help with recommendations and bookings for local experiences. Location-wise, it’s just a short walk or bike ride from the Night Market and the Mekong River, making it easy to explore without being in the middle of the tourist crowds. I honestly didn’t want to leave! If you’re looking for a peaceful yet well-located boutique hotel in Luang Prabang, this is it. Would I stay here again? In a heartbeat!

My Ban Lao has such a calm and clean environment. The staff are really friendly and welcoming, which makes the whole place feel even better. The gym is well-equipped, and when I went, I was the only one there, so it was nice and quiet. The pool is super clean and has a relaxing vibe, perfect for a swim. Everything is well-maintained, and the whole place just feels peaceful. Overall a 10/10.

I spent a week at MyBanLao Hotel in Luang Prabang, and it was an exceptional experience. The hotel beautifully blends colonial architecture with modern comforts, offering spacious, well-furnished rooms equipped with air conditioning, a smart TV, and a luxurious bathroom. The outdoor pool with a swim-up bar, spa, sauna, and gym made for a relaxing stay, while the on-site Bistro 1960 served delicious Asian-fusion dishes and a fantastic breakfast buffet. The staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making my stay even more enjoyable. Located near to Luang Prabang’s night and morning markets, the hotel provides a free shuttle service, making it easy to explore the city. I was especially impressed by its sustainability efforts, including solar energy, electric transport, and a turtle sanctuary. MyBanLao is a perfect mix of luxury, history, and eco-conscious hospitality—I highly recommend it and would love to return!

We had a wonderful two-night stay at MyBanLao, and it ranks among the best experiences we've had in Southeast Asia—having traveled to over 95 countries. The staff took exceptional care of us, from our check-in to our departure. We stayed in a courtyard room that featured an open shower and bathroom concept, a free mini bar stocked with soft drinks, strong hot water, effective air conditioning, reliable WiFi, and a good selection of English channels. Typically, we don't make much use of hotel amenities, but everything at this hotel made it easy and enjoyable to do so. We especially enjoyed the spa treatments, including a great full-body massage for $20 (60 minutes), as well as complimentary access to the steam room and jacuzzi. The happy hour by the pool, the free shuttle to town, the EV rental for $40 (10 hours), and the free airport transfer—which was the most comfortable we experienced during our six days in Laos—were also fantastic. We even took a sunset dinner cruise with River Sun Laos for $45. Overall, everything felt seamless and luxurious during our stay.
