Golden Dreams Inn

Room close to Main Street, bed was very comfortable, grounds well kept, and the refrigerator and kitchen items helpful! Was given early check in which was greatly appreciated! Communication was great!

The home was well described and a vintage Victorian home, so it was as expected. Perhaps a larger bathroom but again, it was expected!

Golden Dream and was a great place to stay for a one night trip to Gold country. It is an easy walk into town and was convenient to be able to do self-check-in. The room was large, the bed extremely comfortable with lots of windows and light and it was so nice to have a refrigerator and mini kitchen in the room.

Quiet location was a short 1/2 mile walk to downtown Center for the Arts and restaurants. Rooms were well done with small kitchenette included. Small bathroom had a clawfoot tub and hand shower.

Rooms lacked a separate temperature control - it was a little cool for me. This would be an issue during hot months, though they have an a/c unit they can place inside. Light mildew on the bathroom ceiling.

Location - near freeway and near downtown Grass Valley -- also easy to get back to Nevada City. Room - good sized room; nice big TV (some motel/hotels scrimp on the TV size) Had a space heater only (no central HVAC) and it was small but worked quite well. Good blankets. Strong shower

The mattress was foam and had some lumps in it. Watch your step getting in and out of the tub/shower. The digital keypad for the room door was lame -- hard to read. It locked us out for a few minutes because we got it wrong a few times.

I loved the location, the bed was very comfortable, and the room was the right size.

Had several problems getting in with the door codes on the front door and room door. I was originally issued the wrong codes, but I entered other similar numbers and was able to get in. The host's phone went straight to voicemail. Luckily I was able to figure it out and get in. The host did call back and was responsive when I called back with more door problems. The room door was the hardest to figure out. The numbers on the handle wouldn't stay on when pressed for a while. And then sometimes when the numbers were pressed it didn't register. It would also be nice to have lights on outside (on a timer) and in the staircase. We left for dinner and came back to complete darkness. Luckily I had my flashlight on my phone so I could get inside and find the light switch for the stairs. The bathroom is small and putting a shelf above the toilet would be a good idea so guests can put their toiletries somewhere. There was a shelving unit in between the tub and the sink, but it was too difficult to reach.
