St Ives Bay Beach Resort

Heating didnt work, had to call someone out to come and fix it. Shower door didnt close properly and flooded whole bathroom. Had a mop but no head so couldnt even mop the water up. No trays or anything for oven so our shopping went to waste.

Beautiful location, staff are incredible.

Our chalet was quiet, separate from others and secure. Facilities offered were great and the food in the beach restaurant was great. Best part it was out of season and we thoroughly enjoyed our 7 day stay. The town of Hayle is about 2km away and there is a Liddl supermarket about 300m down the road from the chalets. Lots to do in Cornwall and distances are not great. One or two improvements that could be made in the chalet are provision of a bathmat and explanation of why a plug for the kitchen sink is not provided. We will recommend St Ives Bay Beach Resort to or Australian friends.

Lovely sea view. Close to beach and club house. Close to hayle to have a walk around.

Multiple slats were missing from one bed so the mattress slumped. This was rectified when reported. There was mould on the walls within two rooms which I was merely told happens due to the area they are located and they’d get the cleaner to sort. This never happened. There was an overpowering smell that came from the carpet in the master bedroom which induced a headache every time I was in there. I was told they would get the carpet cleaner on it but this did not happen. It’s the first accommodation I’ve stayed in where I’ve had to prewash all of the kitchen utensils before using as they were either dirty or covered in cobwebs. Providing a small bin in the bathroom and a dustpan and brush in the place would have been useful (these seem like very basic essentials to provide as standard). The food at the beach restaurant was enjoyed by all. Beach hire and surf lessons on site were run by lovely people and my kids really enjoyed utilising this service. Access to a lovely stretch of the beach from the site with lifeguards offered peace of mind and was a safe place to enjoy each day.

Easy access to the beach. Supermarkets are close as well as convenient for bus and train journeys.

The bad: Caravan was not very clean. Food splashes on the kitchen wall above the cooker, cobwebs and dust everywhere. Looked like the Caravan had been empty for a few weeks. The good: Sea view was lovely and very close to the beach. Overall: Ended up checking out a day early, not much going on and with the weather being bad the caravan wasn't the nicest place to be cooped up. We was in a deluxe sea view, but would upgrade next time. Calling it deluxe is a bit misleading as its pretty basic. I would stay again as location is great, but i would upgrade to a more premium caravan or lodge.

We are family of 5 and had a comfortable stay. The caravan home we stayed in is 5 minutes walk to the beach. It had a bit of sea view and enough room to park 2 small cars (Jazz & Mini).

There is no inter com or telephone to call receuption. Wi-Fi is bad
