St Ives Bay Beach Resort

Was an alright place to stay other than there being no towels in the kitchen or bathroom and no washing up liquid or anything to wash up with. They also only allow 1 toilet roll per cabin no matter how long you’re staying there and they won’t give you another if you run out. They told us to go to the shop to get some but all the shops in the area were shut so we had no toilet roll the last night we were there which was pretty gross.

Good spot but that is it I am afraid

We have recommended this site to all of our friends. First stay here. Lovely site. Something for everyone. The most amazing spot to watch the sunset. We had a chalet, it eas roomy, clean & had everything we needed. Can't recommend enough.

Everything was perfect

Lovely little cabin, stayed 3 nights off peak season. Cabin a little musty on arrival. Everything clean and tidy. Will stay there again.

Absolutely loved our Caravan stay. This was a major highlight of our 3 week trip. We loved being so close to the beach and a short drive to St. Ives for a day of shopping and a true Cornish pasty (well half of one because the seagulls are savages!). We took our 6 month old son for his very first swim at the pool, which was a great memory. No wifi in the caravans which is a slight bummer, but apparently there is wifi at the bar so you could download movies onto and phone or iPad if you felt the need. Nice to have a kitchen to cook in, as we had done a lot of hotels up until this part of our trip. There were no towels in the unit when we arrived, but one quick call to the office and they delivered a bundle within 5 minutes. Would definitely stay here again!

Pro's & Con's The shower was clean and tidy inside with a good flow of hot water. Cutlery, kettle, and toaster was clean and in good working order. Location was good, onsite pool for the kids with an onsite surf school at your disposal. (You can hire wetsuits, body boards, and surf boards from here). The beach was only a 2 minute walk from the caravan. Sea side view from select caravans subject to your booking. There is a Local bar for evening drinks, although abit pricey, the cocktails were good and evening entertainment for the smaller kids too. The caravan is exceptionally noisey on windy nights. The beds in the rooms were comfortable, the sheets and duvet(s) were clean and tidy, but the spare bed sheets had stains. The bathroom floor was showing large ammount of damp underneath the vinyl and the towel rail was flaking paint, inadequate for 6 people and needed replacing. The freestanding cooker was in good working order, but was greasy and not very clean ontop. The kitchen knifes were sharp but abit flimsy to use too. The sofa bed matress was knackered and very uncomfortable for 2 of out of the 6 of us staying and there was a lack of storage space to put clothing. The heating for the master and 2nd bedroom was inadequate but the gas fire in the living room was a nice touch and well needed on the cold wet days.

Unfortunately one of the days has been totally spoiled by the workers working just in front of where I was staying with the heavy working machinery causing a lot of noises and even vibrations at the place we stayed. It gave us all a big headache and literally caused lots of frustrations. They’ve been working from 8am to 4pm. Because it was heavy raining that day we wanted to just chill out at home and play some games but it wasn’t possible. We had to leave the place because of that. After complaining about the situation we’ve been offered to move just couple of houses down where we still heard the noise

Great views. No wifi in caravan - misleading as it claims there is free wifi (but only in the bar). Caravan was cold even when heating was on. Noisy drunk neighbours until 1am on first day.

We stayed for 4 nights at the holidays park . The chalet was spotlessly clean, it had everything that we needed for our stay. A nice touch was the pot with the washing up stuff etc and a pencil that had a special end on it that you can plant (our is a herb) to remind you of your stay. The bed was really comfortable too. We will definitely be visiting here again.
