The Lodge at Cloudcroft

Quick get away that was very nice. The only complaint is that the pool and Horan were being renovated. The properties other amenities more than made up for that. It was a pleasure to be there. The staff on the day we checked in was phenomenal.

Dinner

asked front desk for room on the 1st or 2nd floor since i was having breathing problems getting to the 3rd floor attic room.no dice. there was a heaviness in the air hard to explain but once i left the property i could breath again plus took 2 hours to get dinner served in dinning room w/a reservation UGH

Highly disappointed with our stay at The Lodge. First of all, had I known there is no elevator there, I would not have booked it. Carrying our bags to the third floor and the high altitude was bad, especially since we’re in our mid 70s. The room looked nothing like what’s posted on the website, which I think is deceptive advertising. The fabric used on the walls was wrinkled and shabby and the carpet had a big stain. A small window placed high provided a look of the mountains. It would’ve been nice to sit around the lobby fireplace and read a book but the thought of having to climb 3 sets of stairs was not worth it. So, we cancelled the second night stay. My question is what option does a guest have to avoid paying for a second night when the room is so disappointing?

Terrific restaurant. Make a reservation. Rooms were spacious and comfortable.
