Beamish Holiday Park

We stayed here because we had intentions to visit the Beamish museum. The location was perfect, caravan was clean and tidy. Also had a great park area for the kids and the clubhouse was perfect for a drink and snacks. I was initially put off by some negative reviews about “feral children” and noise. But it was the quietest caravan site I’ve ever been on (potentially because we went during low season)

There was no WiFi/signal, which was only an issue when we were trying to research what was nearby, or to look at directions.

Property was great, as described, cozy and clean

Didn’t realise that the clubhouse would be closed. Had hoped to get tea there on the first evening. Also the Wi-Fi is expensive and doesn’t work

Comfortable and warm.

Superb caravan in a great location.

Would have liked some basics, salt, pepper, washing up liquid dish cloth etc.

Convience to Beamish Living Museum.

The doors were all damaged, though I was told about1 the other 2 were damaged as well. The quilt covers and pillow cases were not ironed. The quality of the untensils, plates, dishes and mugs were unacceptable. Wasn't very clean. The oven was not clean.

The caravan was fine near the shops and the things we wanted to see..

The gas kept going off in caravan the issue was not resolved when we left..the club house is only open at weekends and school holidays which was disappointing..
