Beamish Holiday Park

The caravan was very modern, with a good sized shower. There was plenty of hot water via a gas boiler and I was pleased to find hard-wired smoke and carbon-monoxide detectors in place.

There is a distinct lack of kitchen utensils, with no slice to turn fried eggs, no tongs to turn grilled items, no chopping board which meant bread had to be cut on the work surface, and no kitchen scissors to open packets, etc.

Clean & comfortable - ideal for a short peaceful break. We were near the new shower/toilet block and I imagine there would be more noise from caravans and campers in the school holidays so something to be aware of.

Wi-Fi connection was hopeless to be honest albeit we were given details of an external Wi-Fi provider (Voneus) that we could sign up with and was quite cheap. I appreciate that this wasn’t the hosts fault as they didn’t deal with it, but it did alter our opinion of the site, We paid for Wi-Fi and only ended up with it on 1 iPad.

Excellent communication from the park and happy to let us check in late.

We would of liked to of stayed for longer to make proper use of the facilities.

Nice caravan, tidy site

Children running about late at night making noise and running on decking near toilet block. No instructions for oven so had to go and ask for help.

was a fantastic area and the property was spotless and in a great location on the site. we will definitely be back soon 😁

Very clean. Very close to Beamish. Staff sorted our issues quickly.

There is literally nothing in the caravan apart from absolute basics. Very limited cooking equipment/utensils, no soap/salt/scissors etc.
