The Garden Villa

The pool was good, we had it to ourselves.

Distance from anywhere. Also, general maintenance. The place is looking a bit tired.

Absolutely fantastic little hidden gem in busy Sanur. We stayed in the poolside room which was amazing with generous sized terrace and basic kitchenette. The tropical gardens are immaculate and well maintained. Pool is outstanding. Staff are lovely and very helpful! Housekeeping daily inc fresh towels, bedding and bed made! Feels like a tropical hidden oasis. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a small tropical boutique hotel. Extremely good value for money. So glad we found this place.

Location - Not beachfront but also not paying beachfront prices. Really have to get a taxi to the beach as walking can happen but we didnt. However, taxis were only 20,000-30,000rph to the south and to the top near Icon mall. So getting a taxi was not an issue. Very Very cheap! The road can easily fit cars down it. Kitchenette - could do with a bigger selection of plates, cooking utencils etc if Im really being fussy.

The Pool

The pictures online made out that this hotel was a lot nicer than it actually is. We booked this one for a week as it had a small kitchenette attached to the Villa/Room - the kitchenette was disgusting, the cabinets were falling apart, there was no washing up stuff, no utensils to cook with (there were two frying pans though) and the fridge was tiny. The room smelt mouldy and there were not toiletries not even hand soap to wash your hands. We put washing in to be done and they "mislaid" a pair of my husbands board shorts. Only 1 staff member spoke a small amount of english and the rest of the front of house staff didn't speak any english at all and so communication was very difficult. We only ended up staying two nights and left and booked something else as it was just horrible. We were miles away from anything which when we booked we were fine with as we had thought that the hotel would be able to arrange push bikes for us to rent but when we got there they no longer offered this, the gojeks wouldn't come down the streets to the hotel and we had to walk out to get them (thankfully Blue Bird Taxi did) it actually appeared that there were people living in some of the rooms permanently (which is fine but not the kind of holiday vibe we were wanting) It is definitely more a $20-$25 dollar a night hotel not the $55-$60 that we paid.

Staff were friendly but no-one speaks English.

Location.but grab bikes and taxis are cheap.

Great grounds and pool. The room and bed were comfortable. Working A/c and bathroom was nice. Liked having cooking facilities in room.
