Purling Brook Falls Gwongorella

Beautiful and unique setting

Super special experience to sleep in a true q Mongolian yurt. the yurt was located beautifully on the edge of a creek and steps away from the Purlingbrook falls walk while still being private. Ebony was a great host, alround a great experience.

an extra stool in the kitchen would help for 4 people. :-)

The location was exceptional and easy driving and walking distance to the purlington brook falls. The campfire was great and having the waterways through the property made it all the more restful stay.

I would have liked kindle for the campfire. There were only wet coals and difficult to get started with the dry logs only.

The setting was lovely.

The hot water wasn't working so after a long day hiking around I was looking forward to a hot shower but it was broken.

Wow! Absolutely stunning spot, the yurt is spectacular and very comfortable. I loved that there was no tv, there were a few good games provided. There is an abundance of wild life, staying here you’re right amongst it, it was lovely to fall asleep and wake up to the birds and frogs. The external kitchen and bathroom were no issue, we cooked dinner and found it very enjoyable. My hometown is Tamborine Mountain so I’ve spent a lot of time in Springbrook and stayed at plenty of spots in the area but this is by far my favourite spot I’ve stayed at so far. Definitely a special feeling in this space, highly recommend, we would absolutely stay again.

The shower is a bit of an issue, it takes a long time to get hot and the hot water only trickles out, so I had to wait for it to get hot then lightly turn the cold tap on and you get about 10 seconds of a shower. Given it’s tank water and a pump in the mountains, this can definitely be forgiven, we didn’t mind but it’s something to be aware of if you require more.

Couldn't get closer to purling brook falls which were spectacular. Dancing Water Cafe just around the corner was the loveliest little Cafe would 100% recommend. Everything was very clean. Some important info is not shared on the listing that should be. See this full review for them all as it would've been nice to know beforehand, especially for the amount it costs,

Be prepared for dogs to bark and jump all over you everytime you enter and exit the property and also having to be cautious of not letting them out. It was fine at the start but a little annoying after it happening every time. The room is also listed as soundproof however it definitely is not as my partner and I had multiple conversations (not even yelling) while one of us was in the room and the other was standing in the kitchen that was metres away. Unfortunately for our time there the hot water wasn't working properly so we had to shower mostly cold, in the cold. The owner said she was going to be having this fixed on our second day there however it wasn't. The shower itself was very beautiful and clean though. Finally we unluckily shared our room with a little mouse who got into multiple items of our food we had in the room because they didn't need to be refrigerated. Lots of little critters around so we probably should've expected something like that to happen but highly recommended storing ALL food you take in the fridge so you don't have to waste it.
