USThe host was amazing, greeted us every day of our stay. Super polite and hospitable. The entire location was cozy and beautiful.
CRA very traditional and lovely place in Kyoto. The feeling is magical. I woke up to sakuras falling into the cobbled street, and fell asleep looking at the shadows projected into the shoji. The owner is a lovely woman so nice and attentive I cried when she waved goodbye.
It is not a disadvantage but it is a small hike to the nearest subway. Bus is easily accessible though.
GBEverything! Every detail, we felt we got a real traditional Japanese experience every detail was so lovely from the bedroom to the tea room to the bathroom. We loved every minute. The lady who runs the place is so kind and can’t do enough to help you. We felt very welcome and will return if we ever come back to Kyoto. Thank you for having us 😃

GBHistoric ryokan in a beautiful and peaceful area of Kyoto. The host was so warm and welcoming, and I loved the hot baths at the end of each day.
USLocated on a historic street, the woman who runs the ryokan was incredibly hospitable and enthusiastic. The facilities were clean, and while the showers are shared there are few rooms so waiting for availability was never an issue. Be sure to try the breakfast, as it was incredible.
FRun hébergement typiquement japonais ( 200 ans ) dans une ruelle calme au pied d'un temple. Une situation incroyable dans Kyoto. L'accueil était parfait. Le petit déjeuner est typiquement japonais et peut surprendre.
