CHThis place is incredible. Right in the inner heart of Kyoto's old town, hidden among narrow streets so beautiful that photography is forbidden. I never experienced such caring and attentive service in a place to stay. It's like stepping back in time and disappearing into a peaceful other world. And the breakfast is beyond delicious. We felt blessed to be able to stay here.
USIt was beautiful and serene. I am grateful and immersed in the privacy of the stand alone villa. I like the cleanliness and the simplicity of antiquated furniture and decor. The Yakata was beautiful clean and fresh.

GBRyokan Inakatei was the perfect place to stay during my holiday in Kyoto! It is located at the heart of the historic neighbourhood of Gion, near many temples and attractions, and preserves a traditional way of living. Opening my shoji-style door every morning to the quiet and green garden was a highlight of my trip. Well worth the stay, the staff were incredibly polite and the traditional breakfast is something I really recommend too! Would definitely stay again! A+

IEGBIt was completely traditional and such a beautiful Japanese building. Perfect for seeing Gion, Kyoto. Our host was the sweetest lady and so welcoming. Highly recommend. Futon beds are a dream.
USThe woman who managed the ryokan was very sweet and friendly! She always checked in on us when we came back to the ryokan. The ryokan was also super well located and the ryokan is reportedly 200 years old or so- felt very authentic!
The price for what you get is very high.
