Rock Creek Mercantile & Motel

The location was excellent, off the beaten path, and quiet. The location also shows off the panoramic views of the mountains, and you can take a walk down to the river and meadows. The grounds are very large, with seating areas and tables, and the units/buildings are far apart, lending to quietness. They allow dogs and there's plenty of space for them, which you never find in a cookie-cutter hotel. We were also pleased that there's a food truck on the property, which solved our dinner problem. The staff of the food truck and the staff in the store/office are incredibly friendly. Our unit was very large and the rain shower head was wonderful. Also, there were shelves in the bathroom where you could put your toiletries, which was very helpful. It was invigorating in the early morning air -- a relief from the city.

The glasses on the kitchen shelves were not clean. We didn't even want to use the utensils, so we didn't. It would be helpful if there were a dishpan and a strainer or dish towels, to clean the dishes/ glasses/ utensils for sanitary reasons.

Comfortable cabins convenient for visiting family who live nearby. We enjoyed our stay and hope to be back again soon.

Quiet and pretty location right along the river. The room was the perfect size and was nicely decorated; lots of seating options. Opening the little screen window in the bathroom felt great when taking a shower.

The bed was a bit uncomfortable, but not terrible.

Like a lot of other properties we stayed at on our trip, this place had no USB charging ports. That's my top complaint.
