"Review March 26 2020"

6.0

I stayed here March 26th. The staff were very attentive, the shower and air conditioning were great. They let me check out at noon instead of 11am which helped as I was driving far. They let me park my van full of belongings at the front entrance for security because I did not feel OK with the parking across the street. The price was very affordable. I did not feel safe in the neighbourhood but inside the motel was fine.

"Stay away!"

2.0

This is a terrible place to stay. It smells, the pool area seems to be under constant construction. The doors do not open with the keys unless you feel like playing around for 5 mins. There is club downstairs, the sheets are dirty, just stay far far away! This is not a good place for families, very run down seedy area.

"cancelled our next stay"

2.0

From the onset we had a bad feeling about this hotel, the front doorway stunk of the cigarette buts littering it. Got our room, when we entered it we were supprised someone was staying there, towels on the floor, shower was just used beds were in disarray. Went back to the front desk and told the receptionist there, they didn't believe us, so they checked it out, gave us a different room, that smelled of mildew, it was so badwe had a hard time sleeping, even after 16 hours of driving! so we left at 4 am and cancelled our return stay, hope we have better accomodations there! I don't like giving bad reviews but this one is diserved! Don't stay here!

"This is a horrible hotel DO NOT STAY HERE"

2.0

This hotel is totally off the trans canada hwy. It is run down and disgusting. The air conditioner didn't work and when i complained to the front desk i was told that "it takes time to cool off" my friend was badly scalded by the un temperature regulated water when he fell into the tub in the supposed "handicap accessible room" we had requested. The carpets were filthy there was no ventilation and the stagnant air was disgusting. I recommend this hotel be condemned and no one should ever stay there. Especially those with children or those who are disabled. My friend is still in the hospital recovering from the burns he recieved there and we stayed in june and it is now almost september.

"It was a decent experience"

I was little hesitant about stay after reading some of the reviews but it was a pleasant experience for me. The staff was very courteous and the place was very clean. I would come back again, if I need to go back to Brandon.

"Don't... Just don't"

2.0

My boyfriend and I stopped here on our trip from Toronto to Victoria late one night after a booking made online. We were immediately surprised by the bad smell in the lobby and elevator. Our room had only one working light in the sleeping area and two working electrical plugs. The washroom was a complete embarrassment. When turning on the bathtub tap, black gunk came out of the drain and filled the tub. Along with the lack of hot water, it was a waste of time to attempt a shower as you would be left freezing cold and feeling dirtier then before. The beds had hair in them and the pillows smelt like they hadn't been been washed in some time. The owners seem to have no respect for the hotel our guests and this hotel should be avoided at all costs! Needless to say, I would rather sleep in an igloo made of yellow snow then stay here again!

"Be afraid. Be very afraid."

2.0

Now called the Knights Inn, this gives new meaning to the word dump. The parking lot was nearly empty when we arrived, not a good sign. The entranceway was seedy, the lobby smelled of smoke and disinfectant. There were three people behind the counter, all of Indian or Pakistani descent. When we identified ourselves as having a Hotwire reservation, the man got surly, saying the room would not be ready for another half hour. We asked to use the washroom, as we had just driven 220 miles and "had to go". They would not allow us to use the mens room off the lobby, and we had to wait. Eventually the young man escorted us to our second floor room, and there was only one bed for 2 (200 lb each) guys, even though we had booked for 2 adults. We went down to the lobby, and the manager got rude and surly, showing us some printout code and saying that is what was on the reservation. No matter. I politely asked if he would just give us a different room. Mind you, the hotel was virtually EMPTY. There were hardly any guests. He got angry and screamed back at me, and wouldn't accommodate our request. At this point I called Hotwire's toll free number right in front of them. As I am explaining my dilemma and registering my complaint loud enough so they could hear, they were quicklyreswiping keycards and issuing us adoule room, muttering the whole time. As I told the travel aent that the hotel was empty, the manager is screaming at me "don't lie to the travel aren't! We have 30 guests here!" The place is a dump. The pool is closed an boarded over by planks, trash all over the halls, a weird odor. That being said, weren't we shocked to find a basically clean room with fresh new linens and blankets, although the furnishings haven't been updated since a Roosevelt was in the White House. My advice...Step on the accelerator as fast as you can. Drive! Drive! Save yourself, ves from this filthy house of horrors.
