the whole experience at this hotel was disappointing. i arrived just after time i would arrive, envelope with key in and instructions about heating????????? and hot water??????????? availability. strong smell of damp in hotel. Hot water for shower available pm, but am From 0845am??????????? heating on a push button timer, (a half , one and 2hour periods, Monday morning after arrival, temp. was three degrees outside , had to leave bed to switch heating on, and of course, no hot water available. to shower, Had to boil a kettle to get a wash and a shave!!!!! Did not see a single person behind reception all the time i was there so could not discuss problems mentioned above with anyone. (there was a number for emergencies only) The room bore no resemblance to the info and pictures on the website. Sorry but this heating/hotwater situation is not acceptable at the £75.00 per night charged. worst facilities i have experienced in 20 years of using hotels. (And i use a lot, all over Gt Britain)

I wasn't able to get I to the hotel it was locked, after knocking and then trying to call, a man who was staying there let me in. Instantly, I was scared to stay there. The room was absolutely disgusting, the bed didn't look clean. The towels were threadbare, the place stunk, it was not clean. I stayed all of 2 mins. This is no way a 3 star, it's not even a 1. I can do dated, I just need to feel safe and I need it to be clean. Avoid if you are travelling alone.

This is the poorest accommodation we have booked by a long shot. Filthy, dirty and very poor customer services. Avoid at all costs!! Refusing to return monies and not responding to emails. Would book this accommodation again and will certainly not recommend it

The facilities were very run down; there is rising damp/ mould which came from the bathroom and the smell permeates the room. We didn’t know that there is only hot water at certain times which meant we were under pressure to have a warm shower and this is not convenient when you attend events and commuting. There was no space for our luggage.

We arrived at 4pm and left at 9am the next day and did not see a member of staff once, the room keys were waiting in an envelope at reception when we arrived and we posted the keys in a letterbox when we left. The rooms were basic and grubby with peeling wallpaper, peeling paintwork, filthy carpeting and damp and mold. There was no soap or toilet paper in my bathroom and no hot water, even during the hot water “times” that I had been given. My expectations were not high as I had read the reviews and I contacted the hotel ahead of time, expressing my concern and was told that the rooms are clean and assuring me that there is hot water during specified times. I believe that Booking.Com should remove this property from their app as there is an expectation of a certain standard, which was far from met. I have numerous photos of the mold, damp and filth but the app only allows me to share 4

Free parking free WiFi and tea / coffee facilities in room. Only stayed here as was attending a family party at that venue and was convenient. We did have hot water.

Mould on bathroom ceiling and along skirting boards, cracks in walls behind bed. Smelt of damp and room 14 smelt of stale Chinese food despite an air freshener plugged in. We had 3 rooms and room 6 was the best of a very bad bunch. TV remotes didn’t work in any of the 3 rooms. Nowhere to hang or put clothes as no wardrobe or bedside tables in room 6 or 14. Room 8 did have a single wardrobe. No hand wash or soap in the rooms also.
