We were so pleased to experience a traditional hotel in Japan. The room was nice and contained a traditional table in the middle of the room when we arrived. We could easily make coffee or tea any time of the day because the tea water was always hot. We loved soaking in the onsen on our deck any time we wished, and enjoyed the shower on our private deck as well. The dining experience was special and delicious. We felt so pampered by the wonderful staff! While we were at dinner each night, the staff prepared our beds on the mats. The grounds of the hotel were beautiful and the staff provided a shuttle to the nearest bus stop when we checked out. We truly loved our unique experience at Hakone Hoshi No Akari.
