Krishna Motel - Newly Built in Papakura

The bed was comfortable.

I booked this motel partly because the Booking.com profile described it as “newly built.” I would genuinely like to know when it was supposedly built, because the condition of the room did not reflect that description at all. The inside of the room was very tired and poorly maintained. There were damaged walls, holes in the wall, and food stains present. The air-conditioning control pad was cracked and could not be properly used, which clearly had not been repaired for some time. Housekeeping and room amenities were also disappointing. Only two towels were supplied, with no flannel or bath mat provided. Dirty towels were not collected or replaced daily. There were no extra blankets available to keep warm, and no iron or ironing board in the room. While the exterior may have had some cosmetic touch-ups, the interior condition was far below expectations and certainly did not match the impression given online. Unfortunately, this stay was disappointing overall. The only positive was the location was close to where I was working.

Emergency housing tenants living at the hotel, getting woken up at 5am in the morning adults swearing and kids crying, police was called, argument stopped after two hours, we didn't enjoy our accommodation or stay at this hotel, we were locked out of our room, only has a thin summer blanket on the bed, it was cold had to use heat pump to warm the room, we had booked for three nights, the manager we spoke to was very uninterested in what was happening, we would not recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Not professional, poor service not going back there again.

We loved how it was clean and close to everything so convenient

It got a bit to hot so we had to leave aircon on and a bit loud to with it being right on the road but that’s to be expected
