"Great place to stop and rest."

We enjoyed the historic significance of the Idyll Inn and it suited our needs for the weekend. We did not partake in the breakfast, so I cannot really comment on that, and we did not use the kitchen for cooking, but I was happy that there was a freezer to re-freeze my ice packs. The staff were super friendly. I loved the framed poems that were so thoughtfully placed in our room.

Through no fault on the part of the resort, the 295 traffic noise was really loud. We pretty much solved that by using our fan for white noise.

The cabins were extremely clean and cozy and the breakfast was really freshly made. I left my wedding ring there and the owner's going to ship it back to me. Excellent customer service.

Very friendly staff. Funny bird Bingo at the registration. Generously gave us freshly baked PopOvers for the next morning because we had a very early departure.

We had a 2 bedroom unit with a fireplace and a kitchenette. It was very clean, shower was hot and beds were comfortable. It was a cold Maine evening so a fire in the fireplace was welcome! Enjoyed our stay. Good continental breakfast included.

It was all pretty great!

"Nice cabin"

The cabin had a real fire place. We had a good stay. Nice check-in. Good home-made breakfast (sweet only, not savory though).

Since the cabins are close to the highway it is rather noisy outside.
