We loved staying in a traditional ryokan and found the staff helpful and lovely. We would’ve loved an on site onsen but otherwise the property is very well positioned and courtyard gardens really beautiful. A great place to stay

"Authentic experience"

7.0

It was a true traditional experience. The room was more of a apartment, it was huge! We paid 700€ per night 2 pax halfboard. The food was excellent and the surrounding magic.

There was a view to the garden with only 1 chair. We had to ask a second. For us we would take more time for dinner. I guess we are not used to the pace of eating. It was so special but the food kept coming in a speed I could not follow.

"Thought it would be an interesting experience for my family but wasn’t worth the cost."

3.0

The included food service was the highlights but the value was so poor, I would not repeat.

Way way way overpriced. We did one night here and then moved to a brand new much nicer luxury hotel up the street that also included breakfast and was less than 1/3 of the price and was an even better location. Wish we skipped this and saved the hassle of switching hotels and saved a ton of money.
