Nakaodaira

We had a really memorable stay at Nakaodaira in Okuhida Onsengo. If you’re looking for a quiet, authentic ryokan experience in the Japanese Alps, this place is very special. A big highlight is that all the baths are private, with both indoor and outdoor options, so you can enjoy the onsen at your own pace. The number of guests is very limited, which makes the whole experience feel calm and exclusive. The meals were delicious and prepared by the owners themselves, and the hospitality felt very warm and personal.

My wife and I had such an incredible experience at Nakaodaira. The lodge is clean and peaceful. The onsen baths were private and highly rejuvenating. They had 4 indoor onsen baths and 2 outdoor options. The food was traditional Japanese meals. There are a couple of activities around (cable car, and a cave I believe) but we spent the 2 nights in the lodge enjoying the snowfall and baths. The owners were two of the loveliest people we’ve encountered in Japan. They helped us resolve a travel issue, and were genuinely considerate and caring. We cannot wait to return.

Un tres tres bon sejour avec un plus les onsens dans la nature

The food was fantastic. The onsen and overall ambiance was so peaceful and lovely and the staff were very kind. They asked about my plans for the day and offered to drive me to the local bus terminal, I had already planned around the bus schedule so I refused but it was a very nice offer! The view from the outdoor onsen with mountain view was surreal!
