The breakfast was fantastic and the Ryokan is run by a lovely couple. They made me feel right at home and it's a great place to explore Touge village and climb Haguro San

Es ist ein stilvolles altes japanisches Haus. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig, mit extra Vorraum - sehr praktisch für die Koffer, großer Schlafraum mit Sitzbereich und noch ein separater Aufenthaltsraum. Alles sehr sauber und hochwertig. Die Lage ist sehr gut. Am Ende der Straße gibt es ein kleines, hübsches Souvenirlädchen mit Eis, Snacks und einem kleinen Restaurant. Dort ist auch der Ausgangspunkt für den Treppensteig zum Hagurosan. Die Gastgeber sind liebenswürdig, freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das köstliche und vielseitige japanische Frühstück und Abendessen bekamen wir in einem sehr schönen Raum, eigens für uns, serviert. Die Unterkunft war nicht sehr voll als wir da waren, vielleicht lag es auch daran, aber wir hatten einen sehr ruhigen, angenehmen, erholsamen Aufenthalt von drei Nächten. Das kleine hauseigene Onsen ist schön nach einem langen Wandertag. Wir können die Unterkunft auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

L’auberge est idéalement située, dans une rue paisible bordée de très belles maisons traditionnelles, à quelques pas du chemin qui mène au mont Dewa. L’environnement est à la fois sobre et authentique, parfaitement en harmonie avec la montagne. L’accueil que nous avons reçu a été exceptionnel. Le couple qui tient l’auberge fait preuve d’une attention sincère, délicate, presque rare. Ils ont été particulièrement prévenants avec mon fils de 16 ans, en adaptant le petit déjeuner à ses goûts (le petit déjeuner asiatique salé étant un peu difficile pour lui), et en nous préparant un délicieux repas à emporter le jour de notre départ. Tout est impeccable : l’auberge est d’une propreté irréprochable, les repas sont excellents, et le petit onsen permet de se détendre dans un cadre paisible. Un lieu que je recommande vivement à ceux qui recherchent une expérience vraie, soignée, et profondément humaine.

The hosts are so very friendly and helpful. They prepared and cooked delicious food, and the accommodation was very spacious and comfortable. The whole experience felt very authentic Japanese. We loved our stay here!!

Very traditional ryokan，the couple that takes care of it is so sweet and the optional dinner is delicious. Very close to the Haguro's pilgrimage starting point.

I came during winter, and the isolation is the same as in any traditional japanese building: not that great. But there is a heating unit in the room, so its ok.
