Linaker Art Deco Motel

The location at Mayday in Beechworth is wonderful, such pretty surrounds and only 5 mins drive to the centre of town and an easy 20 min walk down the hill

The building and the rooms are showing their age. Spongy floors in the bathroom; bedheads removed, but the plugs and holes not patched up; grounds and surrounds needing some love and care. Also, in the morning at 8.00 am there was no hot water to our bathroom. The place was fully booked, but it should have been able to cope with the demand for hot water for showers, at a minimum.

Loved the gardens. Clean towels and sheets.

Too far from the township if you don't have a car and use public transport like we did. Entry to the motel run down, damaged paint work everywhere.Holes in the walls.Mould in shower. Heating didn't work in the bedroom. It was 4 degrees outside. We had to ask for another heater. No heater or extractor fan in bathroom. Springs in the mattress dug into my hips, there was so little padding in the mattress. Couldn't find any art deco anywhere. There were utensils but no plates. Kids running up and down the passage yelling until midnight on the first night we were there.

The hotel is very tired and rundown . Staff are scarce and a but disheveled . The place needs a revamp

Over flowing bins , floors need vacuuming. Minimum of cheap teabags for 2 night’s apathetic staff

No heating, a/c not working rooms very dated, bed was very old and uncomfortable

Clean, comfortable, easy check in and out, quiet, easy walk in and out of town

Bright Light stays on in hallway all night which comes into room

Good location. Had a lift.

No hot water at night. Room had not been cleaned. The whole hotel needed vacuuming. Run down and badly run. Bathroom large but very sparse. Curtains and blinds broken.

Shower was mouldy, melted was on spa, vents dirty
