Dartmoor Halfway Campsite

Spacious Tent we both really enjoyed it. Decent breakfast included well worth the money. Location for us was definitely a bonus.

Nothing. Can’t find anything bad to say as we had a lovely experience here and would definitely come here again with friends.

Would definitely go back, great location and lovely pub restaurant with excellent food. We were made to feel incredibly welcome on arrival and Nicky (maiden name Hopkins) 😆 was really friendly. Milk was left for each morning and even gave extra bedding on request. I stayed in the tent which was exceptionally, clean and cosy. Being right next to a stream was lovely and I slept great. I only wish I'd stayed longer. You're only about half an hour to the coast which made it even more enjoyable stay.

Lovely big tent, lots to do and loved that there was a play park

Communication wasn't great. We ordered Marshmallows and never received them. Ordered the breakfast hamper which we assumed it would arrive at the tent so we went to ask and they said you need to eat in the pub. We never received 20% off the bill. And it's not clear on the website you don't get a fire pit

Nice location and the sound of the river flowing next to us was nice and relaxing

The tent advertised when we booked wasnt what we recieved. It was tiny and only just fitted us both in there. Was very disappointing

Food absolutely amazing. Glamping tent really lovely and comfortable.

Glamping tents are very close to other campers.

The bell tent was lovely, bed comfy and clean and tidy. The inn staff were friendly and food was very nice

Not enough seating outside. The couple in the tent next to us had taken over the benches between the tent so had nowhere to sit except on a beanbag. Maybe a couple chairs inside the tent which were clearly fit that tent would be good. Neighbouring tent was also very close considering the size of the field

Cheap and different in a good way

Got a little bit cold at night, but what do you expect? It’s a tent.

There was not any shaded walks close by so had to travel at least 20-30 minutes for a typically stunning walk for us and the dog. Could not walk to a local shop either as the campsite led straight on to a 60mph main road (this didn't affect any other aspect of our stay).
